The committee usually meets at 1:00 and the news comes out at 2:00 or 3:00 so it sounds possible, but I was shocked and didn’t get time to up the volume on the radio.

I beat Orgullo de Nervion to it, they’ve just confirmed it.

So he’ll miss the Cadiz game if he’s still playing for Sevilla.

Way to go Sergio Ramos, you are really taking the piss out of PSG.
Comes on as a sub and gets two yellows in 5 minutes.

The biggest problem with chasing RM for the title is with freaking Benzema who’s playing like he is 28 or something. Absolute class and never took the foot off the pedal - that’s the kind of player every club dreams of.

Real Madrid are just so consistent. They will take some stopping.

Celta had 9 players come back with Covid. How many do you think we will have?

I think you have to have 13 senior players to field a squad and you have to start with 7 seniors in a match.

Cadiz have 5 players down.

You remember that comment Xavi made about being more like Sevilla financially? Yeah I guess he forgot too. haha

Everyone knows the best way to get out of debt is through spending more money

They’ve always been given a leg up on fellow teams and always will. Unfortunately just the way it is.

I have mixed feeling about this. I don’t want them to sign all these players to buy success.

But I believe LaLiga as a whole needs these big names. Going from the Ronaldos and Messi and other big names before them. For sponsorship and getting the reputation back up again.

The draw from outside of Spain has definitely dropped since ronaldo and messi left. I’ve noticed this even at work. People would always watch games or bet on them ect. Since they left, they all lost interest in Spanish football and say it’s boring and the standards dropped.

Obviously for the league the likes of us and other clubs challenging the big boys is great and it’s needed. But sadly for outsiders and sponsors ect the big boys need the names for the whole league financial success

Yes I agree, but the day and age we are in now. Unfortunately to most football fans it was only big because of ronaldo and messi in recent times.

I’m just going off opinions of friends or social media. Interest in LaLiga has definitely dropped since they left.

We will always believe differently due to having a actual interest in the league. But to most who just support Man Utd will say it’s a poor league now. I was even told last night that serie a and bundesliga are bigger :see_no_evil:

Would say commercialising and impact of money has only grown to modern day so it only makes sense. and LaLiga has maybe the most unfairly distribution of wealth compared to all leagues, although the top 8-10 can somewhat compete the drop off is so harsh after that. But probably Comparable with Serie A and Ligue 1 I guess, they are not wrong. But Personally I would still rate La Liga over them on football talent. My connection with Serie A is so limited, once in blue moon I watch a Juve-Lazio game for example . and it looks like a bunch of star players with a modelling career on the side getting into action when the ball falls to their feet or a Palermo-Lecce game when I put money on it back in the day. Maybe that’s because I want a certain result out of it but it made me not want to watch again it still doesn’t get me excited. Similar to our current football. I know my vision is skewed and I should watch like 20 games to find out, but that’s seems like a hell of a task at this point.
I can respect the passion in a city like Florence or a club like Udinese being a stepping stone and nurturing talents year after year. Just for the club’s or a player like Dybala or Joaquin Correa if I was to watch it again otherwise I can’t be bothered either. They often have some unexpected results or upsets tho, more so then in La Liga I would say. I once did a random three game prediction with the underdog winning and won more with that then trying to rationalize results. Still see those happening weekly. So at least that’s interesting.

On a side note, Lope would do great in Serie A.

its a clichee from the past but the principle still drags on into the playstyle I think. No rush to try and win, static players, long ball movement.

I will try and find some matches to watch if I can. Or feel free to recommend me a specific one.

I think I even remember a Chievo Verona game, and only thing I remember is pouring bleach in my eyes didn´t seem that bad suddenly. But maybe watching that´s their equivalent of watching a Cadiz game, but I stil get the idea they want to win. Which I sometimes doubt in Italy.

I can understand that, seems to shuffle up quite heavily down there, quite competitive. Between bottom Serie A, Serie B and C.

After our Copa game vs Zaragoza, I will tune in for Fiorentina - Udinese, coincidentally both who I just mentioned jezus. well awesome, curious how it will be.

Yeah for sure, should be a good player for Rafa Mir to look at and learn from as well.

I have always liked Italian football, even though don’t really have a team as such that I follow wholeheartedly. Though this season have paid more attention to Venezia than the other teams due to their American ownership and American players they have.
