I don’t think it’s impossible to get a derbi ticket. You just have to be quick when they go on sale. You can buy them from the club website but you might just have to take whatever seat you can get
You can easily buy tickets from the official club site
Whereas before tickets only went on sale a couple of weeks before the game, the system has now changed this season and tickets are available for all games well in advance. But be aware that the exact day/time will not be known until nearer the day. Note that refunds are not possible.
For example you can buy a ticket today for the game v R Madrid on the weekend 17th May.
Due to reduced capacity at Estadio Jesús Navas, tickets for Sevilla B &C games are only for members.
Seven match ban for Almeyda, if it’s not overturned.
I suspect it won’t be overturned, though best case scenario one or two of the allegations could be found lacking in support, and it could be reduced to let’s say five matches.
For reference, there are fourteen matches left in the season. So a ban of seven matches really, really bites. I gotta be honest, if I’m Del Nido Jr, I have to be thinking about firing Almeyda. Fortunately he has support of the fans for now (ish), but hard to be in a relegation battle without your coach on the touch line for half the remaining season.
Haha! Chris was close with his prediction of 8. Meanwhile it has been concluded that the ref did nothing wrong and none of Sevilla’s claims of penalties or likewise have been recognized. I don’t buy the conspiracy-thing, but I do buy the fact that LaLiga protects their referee’s despite how abysmal of a performance they put in and that some refs are way too partial.
And if we thought things couldn’t get any worse…
Disgusting. The ref just gets free of all blame. How about suspending him for some games? My god this is beyond scandalous and could cost Sevilla relegation.
Whats the Justice in this? 7 games?!
Thank you so much Brian for all the helpful info!
One more question, do you know how early they make the day/time for the fixtures? Is it 2 weeks before or even closer?
Its bcos from Copenhagen, only flights to Sevilla are saturday and tuesday, so if the game is suddenly planned for friday, its not good ![]()
Lots of interesting Andalusian derbies next season. Granada, Cadiz… and potentially Almeria, Cordoba and Malaga ![]()
It is usually 2-3 weeks before when the details are released.
Another option for you is to fly to Malaga. Just had a quick look and Ryanair have 2 flights every day. It’s only around an easy 1hour journey by train to Sevilla
I went to the Seville derby in October 2024, so it’s totally possible. The thing about games like that is you have to be ready to pay through the nose. I paid 134 euros, though the seat was in a decent place
Nice to know! I heard about going to Malaga first, and 1 hour in train doesnt sound bad. As Long as its easy. What month(s) would you recommend going to Sevilla (during the season) if you wanna enjoy good weather and be able to go to the pools etc?
I was thinking october and april to be good months to be able to enjoy it all.
September / October or April / May are usually good. Just avoid Easter & The Sevilla fair ( 21 to 26 April) when hotel prices are sky high
Brian, you are a star. Really appreciate this! Im probably gonna plan a visit next season for vacation and game included, hence the questions.
Really hope we stay up and keep some of my boys (Isaac, Juanlu, Carmona) so I can Watch them at REP!
I will be down in Sevilla during Semana Santa this year. Our son has a soccer tournament in Valencia. Ditching him there and heading over to hang with friends. Too bad Sevilla are out of town that weekend. :(.
Fucking La Liga
Seven matches seems a bit excessive for a guy simply asking for an explanation, given that the initial red card actually had no explanation. His behavior after the red leaves a lot to be desired, but the initial red is almost nonsensical, which is why the I’m hoping there will be some preponderance of leniency upon review.
There has to be. I was trying to find stats on the length of La Liga suspensions today, but couldn’t find the data.
Do we even have the money to work on RSP? Lol
I’m jealous. I’ve never been in town for Semana Santa. Closest I’ve been was a Pueblo of Granada on the Costa Tropical
I actually just read this long article from Marca about similar-length suspensions, and it really gave me the impression that the only similar length suspensions were for much more egregious offenses.
Just me?
Simeone made physical contact twice with the fourth official and went to sit in the stands instead of the locker room…and still got only 8 games…. Wild.
