Hola all. I’ll be in Sevilla for a week around New Years. Never been to a futbol match in Europe before and was thinking of going to the match. Any advice? Section to sit, where to “pre-game”, etc. Is the 3rd/black kit easy to find at team shops?
Gracias.
Hi Craig! Thanks for joining Monchi’s Men. You are going to love Sevilla during Christmas and the Epiphany—it is absolutely gorgeous and a lot of fun. The match should be a good one, with a solid chance of a win (depending on which version of the team shows up, of course).
A pro tip: bring a snack, like a bocadillo, inside with you. The stadium food is historically pretty terrible. A nice jamón y queso sandwich is perfect for halftime and will make you look like a local. Since it’s a 2 PM kickoff, try to get there early to soak up the atmosphere. There are plenty of bars around the stadium to grab a few Cruzcampos before the match.
The stadium has great sightlines from almost anywhere. I usually sit as close to the pitch as possible for photos and audio, but if you want the “true” European experience, sit on the North side (assuming no fan bans are in effect). It is the most authentic spot—just be prepared to sing and support if you sit there! @Brian is our resident expert on tickets and gameday guides if you need help.
As for the kit, you can find them at either team store, though the one at the stadium is the best.
Thanks for the rapid response. Will see if I can score a ticket to the north side - and fill up before kick off.
Just got my ticket, will be up in Preferencia 35.
To avoid relegation you just gotta be better than the worst three. At the moment Levante is one of those teams, so this is an absolutely crucial game.
Stadium looking empty. Must be the rain… or maybe new years-hangovers.
Let’s vamos!
Hope Y’all are watching and keep me posted. I’m going to miss most of this one.
Not really much happening. Levante pinning us down, but not much is coming of it.
Alexis with a yellow for a non-existant foul. Nice dive though.
The more time goes without selling the club so that the current pathetic incompetent owners are no longer in charge - the worse for our beloved Sevilla.
Nice goal by Oso, it should stand ![]()
Update: called off, clear offside ![]()
Hello guys!
Just joined the site. From Denmark!
Saw your site a couple of weeks ago and thought I would join!
Watching the game now on TV. Can someone tell me why the hardcore Sevilla fans arent at the stadium? Looks completely empty in the end where they used to be!
Anyway, hoping for a win today! Need a Isaac Romero goal.
But the win is crucial.
Hope to have a lot of good Sevilla chat in here with you guys! And sorry in advance if I have a lot of questions. ![]()

Welcome to the forum @NicholasL , I don’t recall that we had anyone from Denmark here. Nice to meet you.
About the fans, I’m not 100% sure but I think it is some kind of protest against the current owners of the club. It was similar to when I watched the game live in RSP vs. Barcelona in 2024 (last game of the season, was supposed to be the last match for Navas before he decided to continue for another 6 months).
Hi @NicholasL and welcome to the forum! We are happy you decided to join. RFEF handed an initial three game ban to the ultras for throwing objects on the field during the :poop: match. Sevilla appealed and had it reduced to 1 match which is being served today.
I’m 99 percent sure that’s why, but I could be wrong.
Actually just read that the order was suspended so @Shendm92 theory is more likely.
Thank you so much, Chris! Been looking at somewhere to speak about Sevilla for some time! Cant speak Spanish, so its hard to find journos and fan sites in english. ![]()
That makes a lot of sense, but it looks like they are behind the goal now? So maybe it was only the first 20 mins as some kind of protest. It was just weird as Sevilla is always one of the best stadiums in terms of atmosphere!
If I have some general questions about Sevillas economy/ players, Where to type/ask?
Thanks a lot again for the warm welcome!
Thank you!
I dont know any other danish Sevilla fans, so you could be right. ![]()
I think you were right about the protest. It seems they are back there now.
Oh 0-1… Fuck.
Found the official reason :
New LaLiga regulations have forced Sevilla FC to prohibit the supporters’ group in the iconic North Stand from displaying any banners or symbols. In response, Biris has announced that they will enter the stadium 12 minutes late and will not chant for their team during the entire first half
There is a chat function, or just create a new thread. It’s very informal here. ![]()
