La Liga - Matchday 18 - Sevilla FC vs Levante

That is weird. Whats the issue with the banners? Seen a lot around other stadiums. Seems the Sevilla fans have a lot of problems with the La Liga..

0-1 didn’t need this.

Levante is a strong team. If we can beat the teams we should beat we’ll be ok. Or better yet, if we can play against Oviedo 38 times in a row, we might become champions of La Liga :face_with_peeking_eye:

Brilliant goal from Levante to be fair. No sure who is supposed to score our goals. Hoping for an Isaac-revelation?

Damn… should’ve known this.

Apologies @Niller :folded_hands:t2:

The Biris Norte supporters’ group has publicly denounced the banning of their historic banners in the North Stand of the Ramón SĆ”nchez-PizjuĆ”n stadium . The measure, imposed by police order and accepted by the club, has generated discontent among the group’s members and some Sevilla FC fans.

Banners removed and protest announced

The banners in question are two recognizable symbols: ā€œ Guardians of Nervión ,ā€ located at the bottom, and the one hanging from the vomitory with the word ā€œUltras .ā€ Both have been present for years and were accepted by the club and the authorities.

According to Biris Norte , they are being accused of giving visibility to a violent group, based on a list that ā€œ no one has seen ā€ and whose legality they consider dubious. ā€œ It is a label to repress and persecute without mercy ,ā€ they denounce in their statement.

In response, the group has announced a protest during the match against Levante UD . The North
Stand will remain empty for the first 12 minutes . After that, they will enter the stadium, but the chanting will be suspended until the second half .

The North Goal does not remain silent

From the 45th minute onwards, the atmosphere will return to normal.

Januzaj to the rescue it seems.

Doubt it will do anything. Was it not also in a game against Levante they did their tennis ball-protest years ago (remember Javi Varas was in goal)? It hardly gained any recognition in the media our was spoken about. As I recall.

Decent chance there from Mendy. Thought I saw a penalty on Alexis, but no check. And now Gudelj with a Gudelj-strike. Getting closer nonetheless

For fucks sake that is not a foul.

Oh man. Oso breaks free on the left with both Januzaj and Alexis (?) in the box, but hits the only Levante-player in there.

Januzaj with the slowest stepovers in history…

It shouldn’t be possible for us to leave this game without scoring a goal. Levante on their heels

We seem helpless and clueless to do anything against Levante who are now defending with all they can

Close but no cigar. Yet another cross that on any other day would have given a goal

And now Isaac blows it over. At least hit the target… it’s just one of those days it seems.

We have a lot of those.

Levante too strong for us. But I remain optimistic - as long as we beat the teams we should beat, we’ll stay up.

It really is one of those days. Levante score on a counter. What the hell is happening…?

Oh my lord …
