I would have took a point before the match but still gutting we didn’t see it out. We got a bit of fortunate for our goal too.

My stream froze just before the equaliser. Absolutely rubbish game for the neutral. Scrappy and low quality from both teams. 10 years ago La Liga was a superior product to the FA Premier, now it struggles to match even Serie A. Sevilla deserved to win that more as they were on the front foot until about minute 70 but the Valencia subs really exposed Sevilla’s defensive weaknesses. Almeyda definitely made a mistake not making substitutions earlier, though it’s clear that Sevilla’s squad lacks any decent depth. Both sets of fans will be annoyed at today and rightly so as it’s clear that both teams are in a big slump.

Disappointing result against a lacklustre Valencia side I’m afraid. They were there for the taking and we didn’t capitalise. Two poor teams who will both struggle again this season I’m afraid.
Oviedo at home is a must win as it’s Real away before Christmas.

I didn’t get to watch the Copa match outside of the first few minutes, so i couldn’t really evaluate Cardoso. Is he effectively a dud? or was missing out on pre-season that detrimental to his integration?
Like i said before, Azpi & Marcao are integral to a functional defense. But as witnessed, they aren’t going to take part in all 38 matches. I like what i’ve seen of Castrín today. I still give Salas the edge over him slightly (for experience), but i could see him develop into a proper La Liga defender.
