La Liga - Matchday 15 - Sevilla FC at Valencia

No yellow for that foul in Sow?

Clearest yellow card. Just cause adv was played, doesn’t mean it wasn’t that bad of an offence.

The game is 50/50, but both sides are poor which is sad.

La Liga this season is a shadow of its former self. Even Barca and RM proving that in Europe.

Akor needs to either stay onside, or get his shot on target. We aren’t getting too many chances, but Agoume’s been able to find Peque on the inside a few times. I expect things to loosen up a bit in the 2nd half, but we may need some help on the bench to help find those openings.

Was down in Spain and managed to get a few games in, including Cordoba-Almeria and Atletico - Levante, both way better than the dross served up today which is typical of how it’s been at Valencia this season. I probably watch 1 game in 3 now. Valencia looked really chaotic and disjointed, like it was 11 guys who’d never met before. Sevilla looked much better set up and organised, especially in midfield, but just lack the bite up top they used to have. It would help if Adams remembered that the offside rule existed. Peque has definitely improved since last season when he looked lost and his role wasn’t clear. At this point, I’d take a draw,

It was a terrible advantage too. Should have been brought back.

That’s a product of the lousy La Liga marketing which obsessively focused on two teams at the expense of everyone else. Why wasn’t more effort made to equalise the TV money earlier? Why weren’t teams like Atletico, Sevilla, Valencia and Villarreal promoted more when they were doing well? All their ideas to “improve” things just involve having more El Clasicos, more RM/FCB games in Saudi or abroad. Talk about being tone deaf and not getting it.

I would like to catch a match in CĂłrdoba, just a lovely town.

Hopefully we can get a bit of entertainment out of this one.

Since Akor can’t score, an own goal is always welcomed and appreciated!

Goaaaalll! The youngsters make it happen. Castrin out to Oso who delivers a great dangerous cross that the Valencia defender puts in his own goal. 0-1 Sevilla!

Corboba has a great well-renovated stadium. Andalucia has some terrific towns, Seville among them, Football-wise the region is in a real slump with those that have fallen to Segunda closer to 3rd level than a La Liga return.

Anyway, back to this game. Deserved lead for Sevilla. Tarrega is one of several Valencia players, Gaya and Guerra among them, who have had a real drop-off since last season. I think Levante and Oviedo are favourites to go down with Girona and Mallorca next, but Valencia are definitely in the most likely 5. Today isn’t a one-off.

Oso has had a very good match so far. Easily man of the match candidate if we end up getting the 3 points

Damn… Gaya has been with you since 2012. Rare thing to see nowadays. He’s 30 and the drop on form when you play with 1 team this long from time to time is understandable.

Today he seemed quite angry and mad at Carmona

Mendy…. :slightly_frowning_face:

We need subs desperately.

Peque off, Jordan on 80’

Akor passing ball control and dribbling is so horrible
