According to El ChiringuitoTV, the La Liga competition committee has rejected :poop:’ appeal regarding the red card shown to Brazilian midfielder Antony, and the one-match suspension remains in place.
However, :poop: is not giving up so easily and is already preparing a second appeal to the Spanish Appeals Committee, hoping that the Brazilian’s suspension will be overturned and he will be able to play in Sunday’s La Liga fixture against Sevilla.
Getting more nervous for each hour for this one. Our left side with Vargas and Suazo are ruled out. Two of the pivotal guys in the squad. Especially Suazo leaves a noticeable spot. Will Kike return? Carmona on the left and Juanlu on the right? A three-man defence with Alfon as the left wing-back? A lot of possibilities, but each with their disadvantages.
On the other hand Azpi is back. Along with Isaac. Should at least give the defence a boost, but will it be enough to withstand the pressure from baby-brother? They will definitely show up looking for blood.
These games always on a knife edge. We did well against them at home lately though. If we can defend well and stay in the game we got a decent chance.
Another 1-0 win would be huge! Vamos mi Sevilla!
A big blow for us not having Suazo and Vargas. On the other hand, timely returns for Azpi and Isaac.
Hoping we can sneak this one with home advantage. I’ll take 1-0 all day long.

Azpilicueta could play at LB or it could be Salas, but I imagine neither of them will offer much going forward and possibly sit in a back 3, with Carmona/Juanlu playing more as a wing back on the right.
I can see both teams really going for it out the gates. Sevilla need to score first!

Ready for the match. It has the feel beyond the normal derby….that is always weighty. It feels like this determines the flow of the rest of the season. A win here gives us momentum we can use to carry and keep us in the top half of the table. I hope the boys are able to bring it today.
