What a collision
Replays on the first play of the 2nd half showed Almeyda throwing his water bottle after Akor missed that chance. Sadly he’s probably the most well-rounded of the strikers as I don’t see Romero having the pace to do that.
Almeyda might try to get someone in the winter transfer window. Diego Costa is still available.

I like him. His technique is probably one of the best in the squad and can convincingly win fouls when needed. He’s just 22 so can still improve. Biggest thing against him is being 1.72m tall which is a distinct disadvantage against centre backs. Makes you appreciate Messi more who did wonders for 20 years at just 1.68m.
Showed why he’s not starting. Dude can have glimspes of brilliance cancelled out by tunnel vision and braindead moments. Nice to have around but not your talisman.

This team is such an enigma. We absolutely clobber Barcelona, lose to two clubs fighting off relegation, and lose/win two other games we should have won/lost. All that said, we’re currently in 8th.
I don’t know what to make of us at this moment.
