La Liga - Matchday 12 - Sevilla FC vs Osasuna

Isaac Romero will be unavailable for the game; he suffered an adductor injury in his right leg.

it feels a bit overdue to try someone else up front anyways, no?

I agree. I think Adams has to be the starter. I also think Januzai should get the start. I think he is more engaged starting than coming off the bench.

Anyway, no Budimer this match for Osasuna, so that’s a plus.

Agoume and Cardoso also sitting out, per this morning’s press conference.

Not a ton of interesting insights from listening to this morning’s press conference, just that Almeyda seems to be a firm believer in the “power of positive thinking", or as I like to think of it, the “fear of talking about anything bad”. Pretty common superstition in all sports, it just makes me laugh whenever I hear people unwilling to grapple with the possibility that everything might not go perfectly in coming matches. But yeah, according to Almeyda, he came to Sevilla to be the coach for a long, long time.

I’ll raise a glass to that :clinking_beer_mugs:

Hoping the next big tear of good results starts this week

This is a big game now to stop the slide. It is getting a bit too close for comfort near the bottom 3 again.

We need a result again today. It crazy how football changes fast. A few weeks ago I looked crazy for predicting 17th but now again we not far off bottom 3.

It really can go either way with us this season. These are the games we need to win though if we want to be comfortable in mid table and not worry about relegation instead.

I’m glad mendy starting but we are missing a few key players. It will be nervy but hoping we get job done.

Vamos mi Sevilla!

Worried to not have Azpi on the field

Alot riding on that Nianzou-Marcao partnership at the back. Glad to finally see Akor start, but it’s only due to Isaac missing out. If we don’t beat this Osasuna team that can’t win away from home… actually, i’ve seen that movie before.

Watching YouTube and Germán Mora interviewed actor, Peter Sarsgaard who is in town filming a movie. He said he became a fan during 2009 when he was filming “Knight and Day” which stared Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz. Evidently Cruise caught a match with the wife, Katie Holmes, on December 9th, 2009.

Almeyda seems to have something personal with Kike Salas and it won’t be good long term.

Why does fuckface good for nothing Nianzou get a start before Salas?

Totally pathetic

Left foot vs right foot is my guess.

Everything is sooo slow!

Defense is tercera material

Yellow to Carmona… Seems like he gets one every match.

Haha fucking Nianzou blowing a good bit of possession with a shot to the moon.

Slow, lack of ideas up front, lack of overall play identity

Just stop. So tiresome
