Not a ton of interesting insights from listening to this morning’s press conference, just that Almeyda seems to be a firm believer in the “power of positive thinking", or as I like to think of it, the “fear of talking about anything bad”. Pretty common superstition in all sports, it just makes me laugh whenever I hear people unwilling to grapple with the possibility that everything might not go perfectly in coming matches.
