I think the same. While many don’t rate him well and he deserves it at times. In the first match, he was the only midfielder that could get forward to link the play and make proper runs. His finishing was poor, but I think Almeyda likes him.

Sow was a solid b2b midfielder in his Frankfurt days and was a key piece who helped them win Europa in 2022, so I was pretty pleased when Sevilla got him on the cheap, only for him to have a forgettable debut season.
On paper he and Agoume are the best options in the middle of the park and Almeyda would start them as long as they are match fit. Hopefully he finds some of that Frankfurt form and be a pillar worth building on.
