Well we can’t sack him, that would cost 6m that we haven’t got.

What a relief, I’m his biggest and perhaps only fan.

Sampi out should definitely be without further costs for us. I still don’t think that position is a priority for changing.

Failed to evict the current admin today, the judges didn’t approve his petition.

You’re not alone. Not alone. Sampaoli hasta el fin…at least hasta el fin de esta temporada. Maybe next.

I’m just tired of losing and not being in the fight for the CL, what happened to us?

It’s been one season. We aren’t Barca or Madrid, or Atletico. We will regroup and come back stronger. We just can’t wind up being Valencia. That would be fatal!

You’re not alone on this, look at my avatar. The fact he gets anything out of this squad is amazing in itself and he’s got YEN scoring again.

It’s crazy how far ahead :poop: are now! Unfortunately we became the 2nd best team in Seville! :slightly_frowning_face:

I watched the Beti v R.Madrid game Sunday, cracking game despite the 0-0.

(Or did it just seem that way after watching Sevilla on Saturday?)

So I asked Artificial Intelligence openAI the big question and it replied …

As an AI language model, I do not have access to real-time information
I can provide some general information about Sevilla F.C.'s past performance and the factors that typically affect a team’s chances of being relegated.

That being said, there are several factors that can affect a team’s chances of being relegated, including their current form, injuries to key players, and the strength of the other teams in the league. If Sevilla F.C. were to experience a significant drop in form or suffer from a high number of injuries, their chances of being relegated could increase. However, it is impossible for me to predict the exact chances of Sevilla F.C. being relegated this season without knowing more information about their current form and the other teams in the league.

The judiciary are opening a case against Barcelona and previous president Bartomeu in the case of Negreira and payments to ā€˜Refereeing’. Previous president Sandro Rosell is already in jail for other corruption but not exempt from the case, the president prior to Rosell and current president of Barcelona Laporta is not out of the reckoning either. So that’s the last five presidents.

I would say popcorn time but these things drag out decades here.

No need to ask AI, we’ve already got a model for that:

Currently the model says 17% chance of relegation. Yikes. Still, that means 83% chance of staying up, but I don’t like those odds of relegation at all

So, just took a glance, inspired by someone’s comment above that we’ve already faced 2 of the top 3 teams in the second half of the season. I ran the numbers, and of the 14 matches remaining in this second half of the season, only 5 of those are currently top-half teams. Not to suggest I’m certain of anything this season, depending most notably on injuries. But, I do think having 9 of our remaining matches be against bottom-half teams should make the task far easier.

Last note on the calendar:
Our last two matches are Sociedad away and Real Madrid at home. In other words, we better get a 5-6 point padding above relegation going into match day 37 and 38, don’t want to end up in a situation where we need to beat Real Madrid as our only hope to stay in Primera.

hearing about the soft schedule is definitely comforting. though that is definitely already factored into the fivethirtyeight model. and so yeah… 83% means we’re highly likely to stay up. but 17% chance of going down is WAY TOO HIGH for my comfort.

this is very nervewracking indeed. lets change our form NOW and not rely on any heroics in the final two match days.

and i know it was the other thread but man… Monchi’s interview is amazing. brutal honesty. also nervewracking as he’s clearly as exasperated as us.

It also includes former president Gaspar (early 2000’s), this Negreira POS was vice president of the refs for close to 20 years. I think the prosecutors are going to go for the club presidents in person rather than the club. It will need fifa to relegate Barca.

The silence of Real Madrid is deafening.
