Wasn’t aware of that detail… nice one Monchi!

Done deal. Some are more excited than others. I just hope he can deliver and we will be a better team for it. As I’ve said previously, Ocampos and Suso either side could become very dangerous

it’s 2 things, he’ll either be another Salah (or at least similar) that totally revamped after leaving Serie A, or will be a total failure.

haha @ShendM he can’t just be an average La Liga player for 10 more years?

I don’t know anything about the kid, I haven’t watched a Serie A game in so long. Hopefully he works out. Just makes you wonder what the hell will happen with Lopes.

Salah’s an extreme case, but i too want him to be better than he was at Milan. A player that would make the top clubs want him. Don’t just come here to settle. He’ll be 27 this year, so he should be in his prime.

I hoped this would give Rony some competition, but i dunno where that guy’s head is at.

Well we finally signed someone to do the job that Lopes was supposed to do. The Milan fans are letting their feelings known on the Sevilla Facebook page but I’ll be patient and see how it goes. Some players are just suited for some leagues and not suited for others. Suso may be one of them and he did have 1-2 good seasons there. See our former Colombian wonder for details.

On the departures front, we finally managed to put Arana out of his misery and send him to Atletico Minero, they will loan him with an option or obligation to buy at the end of the loan. Another episode from the disastrous Arias era concluded.

Try to get Bono on a permanent deal and see if he can step up, and I thought PSG were actually going to buy Rico?

Bryan Gil leaves on loan to Leganes until the end of this season.
According to Marca Leganes will pay Sevilla 100,000 euros for the loan. If they stay up and achieve permanence, they will pay another 100,000 euros.
They will also pay a proportional part of Bryan Gil’s salary.

Only 20million for Alcacer aswell. Definitely worth it if you ask me. Makes sense going there as its not to far from valencia, where he still has a home.

Villarreal are more likely to play with 2 strikers than us. Alcacer & Gerard can be a scary partnership.

With Bacca coming off the bench.

Alcacer goes to Villarreal for 23m

Piatek to Hertha Berlin for 27m

This means they were not really out of our range as En-Neysri also cost 20m plus, just hope Monchi saw something in him which made him stand out from the other two.

Villarreal also signed Iborra last season on the cheap, last season would’ve been different if the club bid for him but hindsight is always 20/20.

Please save us, Jesus of Cádiz.

So the window slams shut and Sevilla did squat.

They got rid of Dabbur, Chicharito and Arana while sending Pozo and Gil out on loan.

They also splurged 20m on En-Neysri and have a loan deal with option to buy in place for Suso.

I’m not going to slate En-Neysri so early but with Alcacer and Piatek available in the same price range he better prove himself worthy of such a price tag. Suso was signed due to Rony Lopes being unfit or being unsuitable for the tactics on hand.

However, any signings are less damaging than the one we did not sign; with Pozo on loan the squad has lost it’s only cover for the right back position, Jesus Navas is 33 and 2 games a week will drag him down, then it’s an injury or loss of form away from putting Kounde there. I know deals are hard to come by but Arsenal managed to land Cedric Soares on loan for 6 months, that is the kind of deal the team should be looking for if they have long term replacements come the summer. Either that or there’s a Dani Alves clone in the B or C squads no one has heard of. Just hope it doesn’t bite the team in the arse come May.

I agree that’s what I have been saying as well. If we pay that much for a leganes player. You might as well pay that little bit extra and get the guaranteed option. Although I expected alcacer To go for more then just 23m… Credits to Villarreal I guess… Excited for tonight’s match tho!

Oh it’s tomorrow…

I don’t understand the Pozo loan. Navas is a beast, but like you said, 2 games a week is going to wear him down big time. Hamstring injury awaits I’m afraid.

Really doesn’t make any sense.

RDT has scored in 5 out of 6 since joining Espanyol. We’re never know if he was a target. But he’s showing an impact I wish we had :joy:

Could be a question of fit, haven’t had time to watch Espanyol highlights but they play a front two. As Lope has deployed a similar formation only once or twice I’m not sure if RDT could have as much impact when playing as a lone forward.

I heard this guy wanted to come back to Europe…
