January 2020 Transfer Targets and Rumours

Obviously the club have been keen to sign him as its been a long time coming. Will add strength in depth I imagine. Again not one that excites me, but if he can deliver then I’m happy to be proved wrong. You can argue Suso and Ocampos either side of our striker could create chances with munir and nolito interchangeable within that.

Intrested to see what everyone thinks of Suso joining.

Not the most inspiring signing and would rather have Alberto back instead but Monchi must have seen something in him. He is also a natural on the right so we have something to work with. The club also has around 9-14 games to decide whether he is worth the cost.

And we are always good at reclamation projects as we saw with Nasri and Jovetic, right? :innocent:

Now about that right back…

Don’t forget to add Ever to that reclamation projects list. He went to Inter and vanished to the bench. Came back to Sevilla and made himself a star again.

You should still not be excited about De Jong… he has a lot to prove and to make up for the rustiness of the first part of the season.

I will be brutally honest. I wasnt really excited by any of the signings in the summer. The only one really for me was, Joan Jordan. Also add in the arrival of Dabbur but never got his chance sadly. All the others, maybe through lack of knowledge didn’t excite me at all. But so far monchi has shown to have done some good buisness and every credit for finding the likes of Carlos and giving Ocampos a more star role after being over shadowed in Marseille. Let’s hope the January addictions can improve us.

He’s a quality player and a very talented dribbler. He’s got a good shot & cross on him. Will use his weaker right foot when he needs to. He won’t shy away from the occasion either. I believe being at Milan strengthened his mentality. The way that team was handled after Gattuso’s departure was just a mess, so I can’t put everything on him.

The only reason I’d prefer another player, is because I doubt he’ll be a star for us. Someone to depend on. Although they’re different types of players, I always try to compare him with Sarabia, to see if he’s worth pursuing. Tbh, there was a time I thought Suso was better, but after last season, i found Sarabia to have the edge on him.

All in all, it would be a good addition. Just how good is left to be seen. I’d just hate for it to be another big money signing to come here and be mediocre.

Since it’s already known that Banega is leaving in the summer, who is y’all preference to replace him? Or do we already have them in Jordán & Óliver?

Mine is a pipe dream, but it’s Rakitic.

It’s a great dream! If Oliver plays like he did Saturday we will be more than fine.

It’s absolutely setting up that way. Would be a dream return IMO.

Wouldn’t be surprised if it’s Campana though.

I would expect to see campana return in the summer if the fee was right. I’m sure they tried last summer but ended up with Jordan.

Oof… now that’s a shout! Wouldn’t mind someone with some height, as Monchi has been doing recently.

Haven’t seen much of him tbh. Is he similar to Goretzka?

As sought after as Joao Felix was before this season. He’s most definitely going to the elites (aka Bayern). :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

But with our sights on CL football, why not dream? Castro said himself “the best is yet to come.” But we know he’s more concerned with pleasing the shareholders. :expressionless:

Suso is named in the Milan squad to face Torino in the Italian cup tonight. Make of it what you will.

In other news there is strong rumours circulating that Bryan Gill is off to Leganes, whether it’s a loan deal or permanent has not been made clear. We would be crazy to let him go on a permanent deal in my opinion.

I’ve seen a few links to Carles Perez coming to us on loan. It seems plausible if they are still trying to agree a deal for Suso.

I agree, I’m not sure on it either. Seems to be stronger links to roma so we may not have to worry

That’s how slow the negotiations are going. It’s to do with the obligation to buy, and perhaps the final price of €20m or €25m. Monchi can be stubborn, as seen with what happened with the Bergwijn transfer. Latest news is that he’s prepared a better offer than the last.

I’m sure it’s a similar dry-loan spell like Pozo’s. No way he’s gone that easily. He needs the playing time, so I’m kinda glad it might happen.

Bit sceptical but hope he turns into something great for us then, I think its a weird buy as well not very Monchi like, normally. Let´s see. Best of luck Suso.

I can´t look into our wallet and don´t wanna start too negative. But it seems like we are going way deep to try to compete in all 3 leagues. I hope the management knows how much risks they can take. There´s been plenty of teams, that have gone down very far, after trying too hard to keep up with the above expected short term results. Guess no reason to worry yet. We are 3rd and in a pretty Good Flow.

Feel like we are smelling Champions League football. Which obviously would be amazing. And a huge step to keep growing.

Mudo on the radar of Fiorentina, maybe some more action in the last transfer deadline days. I wouldn´t be happy as Mudo right now, so I understand if he wants to leave back to Italy.

Suso set to sign! Well we will see! He is a good player and we needed another winger. Hopefully we can get the best out of him. Bolsters our squad a bit more. Vamos!

What i like most about the Suso deal is that the €20m becomes an obligation only if we make the Champions League.

I can’t lie, i’m getting kinda hype about this signing. We’ve been lacking in attack, so this may be just what we need.
