January 2020 Transfer Targets and Rumours

Same here, said he wanted the Juves, Barcas and Reals.

Kevin Gameiro back? No thanks!

If only we use him as a wide forward, cause he still has some pace.

I dunno, i’d be tempted. He’s better than Nolito.

The Uruguayan player we’ve been looking for? Matias Vecino is decent. Would give us more strength and some intelligent movement in midfield.

It wasn’t us, it was Roma. But then Monchi left there during the negotiations to come back to us.

That is correct for the season before that, this summer Ziyech almost signed for us, when Monchi was back here already.

Vamos a seguir trabajando con mÔs tranquilidad que antes de que viniera Youssef, tenemos las espaldas cubiertas, y no nos cerramos a otra incorporación, ya sea en la delantera o en otra posición en el campo".

What did Monchi mean with this exactly, if someone could translate it better from Spanish. Did he say that we might sign another player or we’re done for this window?

He said we’re pretty much covered where we need to be, but not close to another signing, whether it’s in attack or any other position.

Basically, we’re not necessarily done in the transfer window, but not in a rush to sign anyone either.

Looks like Hernandez has officially signed for Galaxy. In a picture of a shocking new galaxy kit. Glad we’re not Adidas if that’s the new style. Anyway I still feel we are 1 forward short

New Rumors around Ryan Johansson - 18 Year Old German(or Irish/not sure which) Bayern Munich right back being bought by Sevilla.

That you may do well in LA Chicharito. It were 3 amazing weeks.

Midfielder/Right-Back from Luxembourg/Ireland, part of Bayern’s academy. Will likely play with Sevilla AtlĆ©tico.

haha F him now. I hope he doesn’t score a damn goal in LA.

Now now, Carlos Vela was a bit underwhelming in Sociedad but looks like a god there. Chicharito would be at home in the MLS scoring goals for fun. Him being there makes betting on LA galaxy games a lot easier, just bet on a lot of goals and he’ll deliver. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

I keep seeing Suso rumours and i keep shaking my head. This isn’t how Monchi works. Milan wants to move him on so bad! :joy:

As for Shaqiri… hmm, not liking it. I don’t believe it anyway.

Word on the street is that we are getting a wing player. Suso is believable because of the whole ā€œwanna be in the Euro squadā€ thing. But i don’t see us paying damn near €30M for him, even if it’s payable in the summer.

What do y’all think?

I can’t see either of them joining. Might sound odd but they are to obvious. Monchi doesn’t do obvious. Noone even considered En-Nesyri compared to the lists of player we had been linked with. If we were intrested in either, can’t see us playing the fee for Suso and can’t see shaqiri leaving this season. Has a Premier league medal on stand by

Maybe I was dreaming, but when I Heard things about Martial supposedly not being Good enough for United. I was kinda getting a tiny bit of hope, maybe we could swipe him up. Such a talented player I think who could do wonders with a bit more freedom in La Liga. But actually he“s doing work in United now so I think he will remain. I was just wondering like if we pay 20m for en-nesiry and then I don“t know they still have some left. Might as well go big, doublé up, and get Martial. Haha alright back on earth. Yeah out of those two. I like Suso, although Shaqiri has shown way more value and performed at higher levels. But agree with Jim, might be better to get none of them and look ahead for new interesting players instead. Although ofcourse something of the guarenteed quality is very valuable for a team. Priorities would be:

  • Banega Replacement
  • Right back, contender.
  • Versatile winger (If we keep Luuk and Nesiry for centre forward)

This Johansson signing is quite good on paper. Navas will virtually play all the minutes at RB, so it’s best to have a prospective player backing him up that isn’t expected to play so much.

But like last game, i usually see Navas holding his hamstring or looking to the bench to show that he either has to come off, or will play more withdrawn to finish the match. In that case, Kounde is a suitable backup to offer a more defensive option. Unless he’s up against Vinicius of course. :eyes:

I think it would be a great signing. He would suit la liga football. I agree about the sending off thing. He’s got a target on his back in Scotland and maybe a new start could do him good.

Don“t know much about him. Quite impressive stats, not that the scottish league is great and all but in Europe he has proven to be able to score. Seems like a player to be excited about. Literally. Might he get to 90 minutes or maybe not. I guess it functions as a natural rotation system for the strikers. Like De Jong celebrating playing time everytime Morelos gets booked.

Curious if we Will sign him, but then we stay with the winger problem. Where we basically rely on the fullbacks or Ocampos.
