Sevilla were superior clearly from the early stages and that is not just a coincidence, we are improving as a team. Nesyri (the new improved version) has been awesome in his work rate, and all the movement from defence to attack. With that job it’s impossible to be a pure striker because he has less scope but he does the job.
Ocampos has excelled with a goal and assist in the second 45 minutes.
This game could spark a big style revival in our creative play, a bit of confidence goes a long way. We need that defense to be solid and the attack creative and it looks like we can do that.
It was like the Sevilla of old tonight. A great win, great attacking football and a big statement made. Vamos!

I wasn’t sure about sampaoli coming back again and it was a rocky start but he’s finding his feet again with us and we starting to play some exciting attacking football under him. We have new life and purpose. Great to see. I hope we can keep it going.

Massive win for team morale, the only thing that bothers me is Bade’s injury, if he is out for several weeks, it could be quite a problem for us. I haven’t heard any update about Marcao.
A very impressive performance, shame it was watched by the lowest att of the season.
Main reason for the low turn out, the last couple of years Sevilla have changed the season ticket from “total” which included all the European games to “group games only”
If you are a season ticket holder you have to register your card on line and pay extra for the knock out games (if I remember correct this one cost me an extra 13euros.) Many fans appear to have voted with their feet against this decision.
Love it when they do that, everyone knows the game is won. Yes you have to be there to appreciate it fully. 
I “remember” a game a few years ago - I don’t remember the opponent or the scoreline or which season though (against Granada, Elche, Cadiz maybe?) and I’m pretty sure Emery was our coach, but the last minutes are very clear to me. I don’t know if it was the first time they did it or it was just my first time paying attention, but the Biris started chanting the “forza Sevilla campeon” to each of the stands and then the full stadium at the end. It was almost(!) like being there, but man I would have given my right foot to be there.
