Dmitrovic’s response is VERY restrained. He clearly is trying to deescalate as he’s approached by the fan. Did he even hit the fan after pinning him? Or just held him there?

I wouldn’t have begrudged him getting a whack in, but kudos to him for showing restraint.

I know its annoying to not play very nicely and to lose a match but
 come on guys! we made it through! 1.3m USD in the piggy bank and a few more matches against a beatable opponent!

I left in the 70th minute to head home to make dinner so I missed this. My son mentioned he received a yellow card for this. That is ri-donk-u-lus

If a player hits a spectator it’s a straight red, Dmitrovic just subdued the spectator and so the ref though he would go half-ways with the yellow, (aren’t Referees supposed to have sound judgement combined with a knowledge of the rules?)

The same assailant was also arrested in Nervion following the 3-0 home victory.

The Acuña yellow card was also mishandled, as bottles were still landing all around him as the referee produced the yellow card.

Yeah I thought that Acuna yellow was piss poor. Granted, they were time waisting, but that wasn’t the moment to give it as it with the debris flying.
