For me I didn’t see much from Papu and my opinion is that both Papu and Acuña are two of the best 10 players in la liga. When it comes to En Nesyri I have no doubts he could be the beast of forwards and I’ve always been a fan but my patience is running out, there is a lack of confidence right now. Great to see Navas back, the Biris woke up on 80 minutes and then again when Navas came on.
I’m relatively confident for our chances to progress. We showed good attacking quality in that first half. We also showed in the 2nd half that we can slow the pace and control the tempo. We are good at protecting leads so I see us going to Zagreb and getting at least a draw there. I think we did the hard work here.
It’s a shame about rekik as he had been playing well. Hopefully Diego Carlos is ok and that was just a minor knock or cramps. We will know more soon either way after lope presser.
On to espanyol away now where we need to be at full strength as it won’t be easy there. Barca only just scraped a draw and Real Madrid lost there. We have to be sharp from start and keep RDT quiet as well.
Vamos mi sevilla!
Yeah the biris were singing all the classic sevilla songs around the last 15 mins and especially when navas came on. They were brilliant.
The Mariujana/Hachis varies in strength every week
Also forgot to mention once again that Bono is a mf’cking savage! World class goalkeeper - should be heavily protected with a 100 million Euros release clause.

Voted by mistake, it was Bono for me. Martial contributed in the first goal and scored the second, Ocampos scored one, Rakitic and Papu played very well but the one that saved us from conceding at least 2 other goals was Bono.
He was spectacular!
Good news on Carlos. He said he felt something slightly problematic in his leg at a point during the game but he says he fine and was nothing serious. That’s vital for our defence.
It’s only rekik we lost which is still a big miss but it could be worse. Fortunately it seems the rest of the players survived the injury curse last night and we got a good win with just 1 causality.
I’m hoping Tecatito is back soon and hopefully rekik and montiel aren’t out that long. I hope maybe by March we may also get some update or timeframe when Lamela and suso may be trying to get back for training and build back up slowly.
Vamos!
I watched a bit of the fan side of the Dinamo and there was dissatisfaction with the referee. At the penalty spot, they mostly think it wasn’t there, because there was no touch. Otherwise, they still believe in the advancement of their team.
The idiots from Zagreb believed last night that they could have a good scrap with the sevilla cops.
It was a little one sided though. When drink fueled yobs try attacking highly trained officers wearing body armour and brandishing big sticks, there is only ever going to be one outcome and one side nursing lumps and bruises in the morning.
It’s a big miss only because we neglected the defense in this transfer window and didn’t sign another CB, which was most needed considering our aspirations. Sure, Fernando can cover there but he isn’t really a CB and it would be improvisation at that point… same with our new Xavi, Gudelj.
Hopefully we get Lamela back soon at least.
Bounou is currently tied at 24th ranked market value for keepers on Transfermarkt at 16.50 along with Bernd Leno, Nick Pope, Szczesny and others.
He’s the fifth highest in the league behind Courtois (71.5), Oblak (66), ter Stegen (49.50), and Simon (27.5).
A bit ridiculous that there is such a big gap there. He’s been the best keeper in the league this season, even though Courtois will probably get the headlines.
I agree we must up his deal soon.
Too underrated, but that’s good for us. Anyway, an extension with a much much higher clause is an urgent matter.
I really can’t tell the difference between him and Oblak… this season he’s better than MATS and Simon by a mile. As for those other mf’s Leno, Pope, crap, shit… he’s a GOD for them.
This season, Oblak has been poor, definitely a shadow of his former self. (Lowest save percentage in the top five leagues as well). For me, at least as of this season, Bono has been miles above Oblak.
I remember the Police coming off second best to Tottenham fans inside the ground, Police didn’t have elbow room to swing their batons and they ended up taking a beating with their own batons.
Bono was MOM last night. Two world class saves ensured we had the two goal advantage at the end of the night.
A top keeper and we should do everything to keep him.
