Mudo refusing the arm band from Gomez. No bueno.

Next is Yen for De Jong, I guess (edit) appears that YEN entered while I was typing.

Oscar has to be on the pitch more. Those fk balls are delicious.

Full time. A 2-0 win, thanks to an own goal and a nice free kick

Almost 1-2, Bono with his magic hand stops the shot. And then the ref blows time 0-2 to Sevilla, no need to over exert the players so ‘job done’

Not in untypical fashion we could say

Offense has issues. Not a very good performance when you can’t score from the run of play against a SB team.

I wish i actually slept instead of watching a team trying to lull me to sleep. :unamused:

Exactly, so predictable.

Not very satisfying to watch. We were not lively at attack as usual. İdrissi and Rekik seems quite unproductive.

You would think with two #10s on the pitch we could generate a lot against a 3rd tier side. Something is systematically wrong with how Lope wants his team to play. Hoarding possession only to do nothing with the ball.

It took Óliver 30 min to realize he had to drop deeper to start the buildup. Nothing was happening with Gómez cycling the ball with Kounde & Fernando. Torres should think more highly of himself and take command of the midfield. He looked great when he was at the centre of the action.

Only other bright spot was Idrissi getting free a few times in that 2nd half. But i’d rather see him compete against stronger opposition. We needed this option many times this season. Maybe he’s worked his way back to getting minutes after a fair share of tracking back.

That guy Chendo was mad coz Sergi cleared the ball kinda hard and it hit him. But it wasnÂŽt that bad, he looked like a blown up ego with anger issues so that might be why. Sergi told him to calm down. ThatÂŽs all I think.

Really surprised there wasn’t a card on that play.

I feel the same but first, let me say that we are predictable but organized. When the team is changed for CDR you see that the organization flies out of the window. But I have to say, the organized version lacks ambition.

It’s a question of playing players to their strengths, horses for courses. If you have a 7 foot tall striker who plays centre forward and scores 9 out of 10 centres to his head, you don’t play the ball to his feet. What’s happening is that Sevilla waste all their energy in a laborious build up until the point where some wing player can centre a pass (for who?). Total waste of resources. Nothing through the middle, no player equipped or willing to do that and therefore we are left with the wing stuff.

Jordan to Navas to Suso to Navas back to Jordan, then he decides whether to go back to Navas or switch wings to Acuña. This will not do

Sort it Julen.

Couldn’t have described the problem better. It doesn’t look a problem when we’re winning, but it definitely is and it hurts to see it over and over again.
