Atleti down to 10! Deserved red. There is hope guys. Atleti have some dirty players and making a habit of this.

they panic a lot. really bad if they think they have a chance for the title with this mindset

I totally agree. It’s very strange behaviour from an experienced top side. However, simeone atleti teams have had a bad habit of this. Yeah they have a discipline issue.

At least the players cared for the game.

Terrible end of game attack. So passive. Needed someone to step up. Just pump the shit in the box. Did Rafa Mir even touch the ball? I don’t remember him even coming on.

Soumare is worthless

Good effort by the team. We just lacked a bit in end product but not a bad performance against a top team. We move on.

We won the big game we needed to and put in a decent performance today.

Time for the players to rest up now and come back strong after Christmas.

Vamos sevilla!

We could’ve gotten a draw with a bit of luck and more concentration.

Can’t say I really liked the way we played, especially disappointed in certain players that really shouldn’t be in this club (yes, Rakitic included). However, as Enrico mentioned, most of the players at least tried and fought until the end.

It felt like we lost with dignity, which is always better than losing without it.

Not much should be expected by QSF for now. It’s been 5 days since he joined the club and we can already see a slight change in the player’s mentality.

Hopefully more to come… and better. The January transfer window will make or break the squad for the rest of the season. The moves in this window will dictate whether we’ll go for the CDR and upper-mid table in La Liga or simply fight for relegation with a lot of headaches.

Players like Rakitic, Gudelj, Torres, Januzaj, Mir and even Suso (I’d still give Suso a pass out of these lot) do not fit here, simple as that.

Mir - 18 minutes 3 touches.

Can’t score against ten Men…

Can’t even cross the ball in last minutes…

Even the manager sees that we don’t have a decent striker, starts with no dedicated striker…

What can I say, the team needs some serious overhaul,
if not it is a definite downfall for us…

I think it was a tactical decision not to start with YEN, but also a mini-experiment to see how we can play against a decent opponent without a striker. YEN will be gone for at least 1 month and we can’t really count on Mir or Mariano as it seems.

Also QSF is known to play with counters - we need to develop a proper counter attacking system so that we can win tight-knit matches like these. The players will know each others’ moves and positioning + have a better vision with time.

I am very optimistic that QSF tactics will work out for us. However, for them to be really efficient we need 2-3 solid players in January, beginning with a midfielder.
