it is entirely our fault and if we do bring mendi back we deserve the ridicule
we shouldve kept the man anyways! he had just won our seventh europa trophy and seemed like a great manager for us to start a rebuild.
he seemed passionate, knew our players strengths and played on them well and had the right ideology for our club. everything alonso doesnt have bar the passion
after a poor run of form in the league (even though we had a great win against almeria) we got trigger happy and saw him out the door even though there was absolutely no reason to send him out in the first place.
all our best players were brought in by mendi anyways. pedrosa, dodi, sergio ramos and even the graduation of juanlu to the first team to some extent is all attributed to mendi.
even though it would make us look like a clownshow, i think bringing back mendi is our best option… (although if he has any self respect he will find a job elsewhere)
