I’d like this type of signing for the fact it would give competition to Munir. I dunno jack about Maupay, but i was already weary of the backup striker we signed for the risk of him growing unsettled from lack of playing time. Signing someone young ensures we have Dabbur as the bonafide starter, with the other versatile youngsters in the attack fighting for places.
Good bit of business done today.
Atalanta have agreed terms to sign Luis Muriel for €15m plus performance-related bonuses, despite a knee injury that’ll keep him out for 5-7 weeks.
Rog reduced to €6m, I’d take a risk at that price without thinking twice. But he’s probably already packed his bags and moved out.
What is this Ceballos nonsense? Fuck that guy
Would Rog have a clash or roles with Joan Jordan? If we have one then the other is probably not needed, especially since Rog is looking for game time.
Ceballos or Luis Alberto, the expected outlay is 20-25 million euros, the latter would be preferred of course. Banega has had an offer from Galatasary but it was just 5m so we said no, I would say yes and buy his tickets for him.
As for Muriel, if we could sell him for 15m this transfer window would already be a success, I guess Atalanta want to see how he pairs up with Zapata since the latter is on a two season loan.
Real Sociedad keeps killing it. Portu signed for 10 mil
A little Sevilla women news.
He was with Sevilla’s academy real young, but was dropped for health issues. He then spent time at Utrera before joining Real :poop:’ academy. Don’t think he’s coming back here. I hate his face anyway.
That, coupled with the constant articles about a Luis Alberto return, tells me we’re looking for a new playmaker. Preferably Spanish too. We sorta have one already in Sarabia, but i get the feeling he’s on the way out. We’ve been linked with tons of Frenchmen, but who knows if that’s just agent work.
Who does everyone want to see in that role?
Today we said goodbye to Maxime Gonalons, he has returned to Rome.
Shame we did not see the best of him due to his injuries.
How things could have been had Max played more matches… I still kinda wish we took a gamble on him. But due to the upcoming overhaul in midfield, it wouldn’t be the smartest thing to do.
It’s a tough job for Monchi, he wants to sell half the squad but he can’t just do it and hope he gets the right replacements. So far Gonalons, Rog, Mercado and Silva have gone and we have Dabbur and Carlos coming in.
Rico and Corchia have been asked to look for clubs. Arana will go. Muriel looks set to sign for Atlanta, and that will be a major relief to Monchi.
So far he’s doing alright, I don’t think the squad needs fundamental changes, but I’m also a big fan of rejuvenating the squad wholesale although it is bitter-sweet when you’re selling players you really like.
The Sevillistas are going to take a lot of convincing on Ceballos with his Betis past. He’s good but not that good, Monchi can find better midfielders.
Yeah, it’s not just that he played for Betis. It’s that he was just about the most obnoxious player they had.
Transfer has been made official. Didn’t work out here, but i’m glad he’s found himself back in a league he can call home. There’s a good player in there, and i feel he’s going to the right team, also with a brilliant coach. Gracias Muriel!
Not sure when this one will resolve, but Celta seem to be the only team interested in Nolito. They want a free transfer, but Sevilla today has quoted a price of €3.5M. We’ll see if they meet somewhere in the middle.
Excellent news on Muriel, the fact we can get potentially 90% of our outlay on the Colombian Wonder is very promising indeed. Monchi doing his thing. Now out with one of Banega or Vazquez then we can really get into business. Nolito still had something in the tank but he was unfortunate to come down with a bunch of injuries, still he is on very high wages so we should let him if possible, more about the wages than recouping the cost.
Joan Jordan hasn’t been confirmed yet as we’re haggling with Eibar, I hope this doesn’t get drawn out too long as West Ham are looking to hijack any possible deal.
Reguilon is probably coming on a loan, I’m ok with that as he has never really convinced me and apparently so do Real with their signing of Mendy. We can try him for a season and see if we like what he gives. Real have list of 13 players they want to get rid of and names I would really like are Isco and Vallejo, the former would be hard to convince and afford but I feel we have a chance with the latter.
Also, remember Marcos Llorente who we were linked with in January? He’s moved to Atletico for a whopping 40m, funny how player prices can inflate huh?
Wonder what we’ll end up with in the Real Madrid sweepstakes. I really hate the loan deals we make with the big clubs; none has done us any good (ie. Denis Suárez). Llorente’s clause was €50M, so we were never gonna pay anywhere close to that.
Lopetegui & Monchi want to build a Spanish core for this project, so maybe Vallejo is the one we go for. We’re getting linked with Hermoso from Espanyol, but his clause is €40M, and Atlético are interested, so there’s that.
I don’t see Isco taking a step down and coming here, also for his Málaga ties. Don’t even want say any more on Ceballos. But this Luis Alberto saga is interesting. I have my doubts, but if the boy comes home, maybe, just maybe…
The ball will get rolling after July 1st. Agents will link our name with each and every player out there to add value. I wonder what surprises Monchi has in store, cause he still does his moves in silence.
Jordan in the final stages… come on we need to actually get some new faces here, the final fee is rumored to be lower than expected but the haggling might have backfired in another deal. Further names that have popped up are Ianis Hagi and Francois Kamano, a 23 year old winger from Bordeaux who can do a bit of everything.
An interesting development is Roque Mesa expecting he’ll be sold this off-season, sure he underwhelmed in the first part of the season but he improved later on and popped up with some important goals in the final run-in. Still he’s going to be 32 so not sure if he should stay or go.
Nothing on Vallejo and Hermoso so far, but if the other clubs are plumping for the latter we would have a chance with the former, but as you said things would probably start July 1st.
An interesting development is Dani Alves leaving PSG after 2 seasons, he has no intention to retire and is on the lookout for a new club. I would love to have him back but Barca have made their interest known and he also wants to go back. Oh well…
Promes is leaving for Ajax in a deal worth €20M (+ sell-on fees). I’m gonna miss this guy. ![]()
Also, these Sarabia-to-PSG articles are coming out almost everyday. He’s surely out the door as well. We might just end up with a brand new team after all.
I’d also like to keep Promes, but it seems that Monchi has a different plan altogether. Hopefully it’ll be a decent one.
Sarabia to PSG for 20m, just about confirmed according to ED
.El PSG pagaría 20 millones, y no 18, por petición de Sarabia - Estadio Deportivo.
Will WBY be the next to go?
Monchi needs to pull some rabbits out of his hat before the season starts.
Why the fuck are they selling Promes, I just don’t get this, it was same with the Konoplyanka…
