Our group stage ends in Cyprus against an APOEL team who has already qualified for the knockout round. This is essentially a glorified friendly. The starting lineup for Sevilla is as follows:

Chicharito repeats as a starting CF. Also, cantera player Genaro starts alongside Gómez at CB, while Alfonso, Chacartegi, Mena & Lara make the bench.

The only thing we have on the line is our 100% record. This is also a chance for players to find form, and seek regular playing time. Lopetegui’s attack needs a reshuffle and this might be a good testing ground.

As expected all the A team rested. Ocampos starting has he still suspended in la Liga. Nice to see others get more playing time as well.

It would be nice to win but it’s more about the performance and giving others a chance. Vamos Sevilla!

Exactly. Our away match at Dudelange (Matchday 4) was well played, but since then, can’t recall a better performance.

Genaro lucky to escape a yellow for a mis-timed tackle, stopping APOEL’s attack

Losing ball very cheaply with careless passes. Barely able to construct decent attacks.

Rony Lopes isn’t an ideal player for the #10 position in Lopetegui’s system. Doesn’t facilitate enough when our game needs elaboration.

Good in transitions, but in possession, leaves a lot to be desired.

Not much to say on that 1st half. Bryan’s been poor, and we’re stuggling to break them down. Ocampos always looks dangerous, but the play around him lacks too much creativity to even do anything.

Like for like. But Torres should help the buildup a lot more.

Penalty won by Ocampos, Dabbur and Gudelj fight for the ball and Dabbur misses. That always happens.
