Bono would have saved that !
That´s madrid, good god.
Now what?
My God! Real Madrid with two quick goals
They get another one before the last whistle? wouldn´t surprise me.
How do they keep doing it? They get outplayed for 85 mins and do that? They just never die in this competition.
Youâve got to hand it to Real Madrid. They donât know when theyâre beaten. They do it every time and against the very best.
Itâs not a fluke. Itâs winners mentality.
Respect.
Respect to them no doubt. They have done it for years. Incredible mentality!
3-1 Madrid.
Just wow.
Hats off to Real Madrid. Have City got the fight to respond?
Itâs not over, this could be an all time classic.
I wish we had that winners mentality
One of the strangest games Iâve seen. On 85 minutes Madrid losing at 3-5 aggregate score and donât seem panicked or up for winning, just passing the ball calmly across the back as if theyâre not interested. Then on 89/90 inutes they explode into action. Weird.
Dicen que nunca se rinde⌠has been the motto of RM in their CL campaign this season.
The difference was: City had two selfish spoiled idiots in Grealish and Sterling, who are pitiful wannabe footballers and donât deserve to play in such an otherwise talented and serious squad. On the other hand you have Rodrygo who changes the game completely, with Camavinga helping a lot as well.
However, it takes big brass balls to do what Ancelotti did. Seeing that his team is not doing anything with their regular stars, with nothing to lose he decided to go all in and remove the whole famous midfield trio of Modric, Kroos and Casemiro. It paid off big time. I simply canât think of a situation where Lope wouldâve done this, even with this RM squad. This is the differenceâŚ
Also, RMâs passion, fighting spirit and winning mentality cannot be bought⌠it can only be nourished with good care and lots of work. CL is in most of those playerâs DNA, now added to some otherâs like Vinicius, Rodrygo, Camavinga, MilitaoâŚ
Hats off to them for doing the impossible tonight. Football lost, but passion won - itâs a fair trade at the end of the day, because football without passion is nothing after all.
Regardless of my despise for this club, mainly because of their Presidentâs corruption and total control in RFEF - Iâm rooting for RM in their CL final against Liverpool.
Oh and btw, Orsato was clearly on RMâs side⌠could be a personal favoring thing, he could be a fan⌠but it was too damn obvious. Super-soft penalty on Benzema, no blatant yellow for Casemiro, lots of other favors to RM like the allowance for time-wasting and the icing on the cake, he ended the match about 20-25 seconds earlier, not allowing City at least another chance in the making. Too biased and too obvious, but thatâs football and thatâs what you get being a club that RM is.
We have lots of that ânunca se rindeâ mentality, but not in big occasions like when it really matters in fighting for the La Liga title or CL. We have shown that in EL and CDR at times so far.
Itâs really hard to have that winning mentality, especially when it is continuously oppressed by a coach that wonât dare to go for the win.
Crazy game football is! Real were seemingly down and out at 1-0 down and 5-3 on aggregate and from nowhere they score three goals in no time and win 6-5 after extra time. One of the most remarkable comebacks youâll see. Will go down in the same category as United in 99 and Liverpool in 2005.
Itâs a side who donât know when theyâre beaten and winners mentality. The best sides do it. Liverpool did it last night from 2-0 down. So credit to Real. Unreal from them tonight.
Real vs Liverpool should be a cracking final. Too close to call. One thing is for sure you canât rule out this Real side.
Amazing comeback from Real Madrid. They have done it every round and have did it for years. An incredible mentality.
Something still missing for Man City in this competition. Just that ability to do special things when they in a hole is what they lack. A shame for them but what a football night and 2 legs we had.
We have an incredible final ahead and itâs very hard to call. Liverpool have more experience than City at winning big champions league matches but Real Madrid are the kings of this competition. Liverpool on paper have the better side slightly but Real Madrid mentality is incredible. Really hard to call but cannot wait for it.
Canât believe they done it again. I also agree w @ShendM that the ref made it a bit easy for RM to see out that result in the end. I could feel the nervousness of the crowd once Jesus Vallejo came on.
Itâs the final i wanted to see, but now, dare i say it might be a step too far for RM? I think Liverpool has the kind of squad that can crush this team, but who knows how these players show up on the day. Itâll be a much different matchup this time around.
95mins played and you are going out of the CL so you leg it for a quick getaway.
ThenâŚ
