SV Elversberg

Hey friends,

I found out a few months ago a lot of my ancestors come from Elversberg(Including a great grandmother). Therefore I have became a big fan of their team. They are now in the Bundesliga which is incredible considering they come from a village of only around 12k inhabitants! I shudder to think how high up in the Bayern or Dortmund fan clubs you have to be in order to get an away ticket haha.

I will post updates about them in this thread and I hope ya’ll will get behind them as well or at least support me haha and hope they can stay up. Hope to fly over for one of their games this season and catch Sevilla also if can swing the logistics.

First competitive game is the DFB pokal match away to MSV Duisburg on Sunday. I believe it will be on ESPN 3.

Thanks much!

Appreciate the welcome back from the other thread friend haha and thanks for this also! I think SVE can stay up as a lot of other teams will take them lightly and they have a lot of young talent. Fun times ahead!

Welp was not the easiest of times haha but won the cup game today away to Duisburg 3-1. Two late goals from young star Onyeka sealed it. Draw for next round is I believe early next week.

Must say love their third kits!

I’ve heard they ‘develop’ decent strikers. Recent example: Fisnik Asllani played for them on loan from Hoffenheim when he was practically unknown, had a great season with Elversberg, followed up with a good season at Hoffenheim and is now worth 35M Euros.

Bro…we live in Germany. We fly to the US a few times a year. Reach out if you want to ship it to me. We will be heading to the US in December to spend Christmas with all our kids in Key West and could pop it in the US mail from there. There is a chance my wife visits in November but that is not guaranteed…Christmas trip is already bought.
