The easiest way from the cathedral to the stadium is by tram. You need one with “Luis de Morales” displayed on the front and get off at “Eduardo Dato” Walk 50mtrs in the direction the tram is travelling, then turn right at the large roundabout. The stadium is on your left 200mtrs further along Avenida Eduardo Dato.

There are numerous bars around the area, look to get there around a couple of hours before kick off to soak up the atmosphere.

Anything else you need just ask.

Hi that’s great - w have a Man Utd fan in our group and he may want to watch the first half of their game kicks off at 13:30 if we left The Merchant at say 14:30 would that be enough time or would you recommend being earlier- I’m keen to soak up the atmosphere so happy to say earlier - also if we went from The Merchant irish bar what’s the easiest route ? Would uber be option there is 5 of us. Thanks

If you want to soak up the pre-match atmosphere I would leave your mate at the merchant to watch the man utd game and be near the stadium a couple of hours before kick off.

He can meet up with you later, it’s around 15mins by cab from the merchant.
