I always think this kind of thing is an interesting case of why the Sevilla rojiblanco-verdiblanco rivalry is so insane: because it spans all of local society and sporting, not just football. And so derbi days aren’t just football rivalry days, they’re whole-city explosions of sporting euphoria.

I agree. It’s a shame we don’t have a basketball team to rival :poop: in that sport.
I’ve had two cousins (well @Christin 's cousins) now compete in the regatta derbi. One on the female side and one on the male.
