Sevilla FC Summer 2025/Winter 2026 Transfer Rumors

This, @Niller. Too many times our big exciting signing come to naught and no name signings are pure magic.

Good point, @ChrisLail, maybe he’s just allowing the SAT boys to go save the Cantera from relegation.

The way y’all have described Maupay, sounds a bit like Banega when we got him. Questionable discipline and relationships, run-ins with coaches.

By the way, go look at our history of winter signings. It’s one of our sweet spots. Not perfect but lots of gold.

I’m just waiting for word on the Patrick Mercado signing. I’d be hugely keen on it. :ecuador::ecuador::ecuador:

Does anyone know wtf is the deal with Cardoso? From what I’ve read here, had a poor performance in his couple appearances, and seemingly is at the bottom of the depth chart below even Castrin

It’s strange. I don’t recall him being that poor.

To be honest I’ve been wondering about this too and why, if he’s just not up to task, Sevilla haven’t moved him on..

No takers?

Not sure if this was seen by others last week, Real Madrid signed Alexis Ciria from the Cantera. He’s a very highly rated 18yr old prospect, who had even trained with the first team.

It seems Sevilla had failed to agree a deal with him and he signed with RM’s Juvenil A team.

24 matches with SAT - zero goals. I’m not saying he will not become a superstar, but he hasn’t really produced so far.

Sergio Ramos is reported (AS & ED) to have offered to come back and play for Sevilla while his offer to buy the club is still pending.

He cannot play for & own the club, so he’d only be able to play up until the takeover is signed.

According to ED the offer was put forward during negotiations to buy the club, but was rejected by the president.

There is an open roster spot in the team, but a salary would have to be agreed & Sevilla are already over budget for the season.

I don’t know if this is just Ramos trying to gain favour with the supporters etc, but he could help the team at the back.

I would take him. He is old, but he has class and can still play situationally. Even 20-30 minutes a match would help. We also seem to be lacking that senior leader/mentor and are melting down. Our defense is so shaky as highlighted by being the La Liga leader in goals allowed :(. Does Kike Salas lose his number if he does return?

I don’t see any rumours regarding letting go of Almeyda which I think is positive. But at this point I really hope he is gonna try something new. Stacking the defence with numbers is clearly not helping and he really doesn’t have much to lose, so why not be a little creative…

I think he has done a reasonable job given the circumstances, so I hope he stays but appreciate the results need to come. Our policy of constantly sacking managers hasn’t served us well in recent seasons, most notably Mendi who steered us comfortably safe from relegation and won us a European cup.

A Premier Sports commentator said during our game against Mallorca the other night that we wouldn’t have been in this situation if he were still here and pointed to how he’s done at Olympiakos. At the time it certainly felt like an incredibly harsh and stupid decision, one of many the club hierarchy has made.

Our defense is trash regardless, but we have gotten better results playing 3 CBs than with two. The issue has always been the players involved. If Azpi, Nianzou & Marcao are healthy, we do not have these same problems. But the quality drops significantly after that. I was hoping for at least Castrín to be fit, but he just picked up an in injury as well.

And it goes the other way as well. There’s hardly any creativity going forward to pin down the other team. It’s rare that the team is inspired enough (ie. 2nd half @ Elche) to generate chances and look threatening.

This is why certain teams simply park the bus.

YEN has moved to Saudi club Al-Ittihad despite FIFA initially blocking the deal.

Fabrizio Romano initially claimed that both YEN & Fenerbahce agreed to mutually cancelled his contract, allowing him to leave for free, but later reported a €10 million fee has been paid.

Whether Sevilla receive any payment from a sell-on clause remains to be seen..

In case it ever feels like we’re cursed with injuries and bad transfers, worth noting that even Dodi Lukebakio has lost about half his season (so far) injured over at Benfica.

Stats: In his first 11 matches across all competitions, 1 goal and 3 assists.

Not that I don’t miss him, just that keeping him might not have been a silver bullet either. Injuries just suck, no matter who you are.

Really rooting for Azpi and Nianzou to find their respective forms once back from injury

Anyone know if the empty slot in our roster can be filled at any time in the season? In other words, if we Azpi and Nianzou get hurt again, can we make a free agent signing?

You know. So that Caparrós can play as a center back.

No doubt, but isn’t that just more of a reason to try something new? If you don’t have the desired players available to carry out the system you are playing, shouldn’t the system change?

I know it’s not a game of Football Manager and there is so much more to football than the number combination of the formation, but in my opinion the choice of formation shouldn’t be locked if there is too much of a flow of available players. But on the other hand it might just open the floodgates even more, so I have still faith in Almeyda and that he knows best. It just seems like the time to spice things up when you over two games lose 7-1 against Levante and Mallorca…

Sevilla FC will not be able to strengthen their squad this season. No signings, no loans, no free agents. LaLiga has completely closed the door.

Sevilla FC has exceeded LaLiga 's squad spending limit . This prevents them from registering any new players, even those arriving without a contract. Although Sevilla has available roster spots, they cannot register anyone else unless they free up salary space.

I Wonder why Spanish clubs agreed to this being implemented since its holding so many teams back.

But they Can rely on youth players to fill those spots, right?

Even if Ramos decided to play for free?

Ramos did offer to play for free but apparently Junior vetoed it.

“I can’t hire you because in three months you could own Sevilla and fire me,” was reportedly the president’s argument, according to a journalist from Marca.
