We will have to see idrissi tomorrow right?

He should be in the squad. Just lacking rhythm, so might get a short run-out at the end.

Knowing how we play, we probably won’t have scored until you got back. :unamused:

Regarding Lope, there’s no doubt his record last season showed he did a good job. However I have to be honest, I don’t look forward to games like I used to, as his tactics are so negative and if we get one goal, we’ve done well. We also lack any real quality natural forwards, so no real surprise we’re struggling so far this season.

Far preferred the 6-4 wins against Espanyol in the Sampaoli era.

Last year I was in Sevilla at the Estadio Jesus Navas. Today we released the Monchi Episode on the podcast. Kind of crazy how life works out sometimes.

Escudero will be out for an estimated 10 weeks. I guess we go with Rekik for now, and maybe Javi Vazquez from Sevilla Atletico. I won’t be surprised if Lope even entrusts Kounde to play there as well. I just hope we don’t rush Acuña.

I think we should go with Aleix Vidal as a safer option. Rekik is slow and not agile enough for the LB role, plus how many times did he go forward to make a cross or link up the play in the left flank vs. Krasnodar? I didn’t see him doing that at all.

So Navas on the right and Aleix Vidal on the left
or even Kounde as you mentioned. Rekik
 no thanks! Javi Vazquez
 not sure at this point.

Also I hope it won’t be long until Acuna gets back, as 10 weeks (at least) is quite a lot without a proper left full back, considering the tight schedule.

I didn’t notice that to be honest - if he was at CF then that’s too bad because he left acres of spaces uncovered behind and he’s not fast enough to cover up quickly. However, I was disappointed with Kounde too. Everytime they passed to him, I’m used with seeing Navas there and delivering some good crosses or linking up with Ocampos, taking on defenders one on one etc. - while Kounde didn’t. It’s just very very unnatural for CB’s to play as full backs, especially the likes of Rekik that lack agility and pace. We are doomed if that’s the strategy.
