Random happenings around Europe

Just came back from the US trip.

Guys @RyanMoore @ChrisLail @Christin - thank you very much for your warm welcome. I owe you one when you visit Kosovo

Really had an amazing time with the folks above, hoping to see you soon.

And why not… a MonchisMen gathering (though it will be quite difficult to manage and initiate) in 2025?

Cheers! :beers:

Youssef En-Nesyri scored against Manchester United again today. He loves playing against them.

Congrats @SurreySevilla on the victory by Crystal Palace! First of many, let’s hope. Now I understand why we haven’t seen you around much. Between Sevilla and Crystal Palace … Not a lot of joy in football this start of the season…

How ya been?!

Yesterday, 27th October, saw the Icelandic league come to a conclusion after a final day decider between the two top teams.

Breidablik beat Vikingur 3 - 0 to take the title.

Random Happenings is right. I think you win the award for this Forum’s first ever reference to the Icelandic league…

Apocalyptic night in the south and south-east of Spain. Thousands of cars swept away in floods, bridges and houses too destroyed and swept away, thousands of cars written off with extensive damage from 6" hailstones. Horrific.

80,000 cars estimated going to scrap yard after the flooding.

In other news the head of Madrid’s police money laundering unit has been caught with a Lamborghini, €900k in cash, and another €2m stuffed in the walls of his house. It’s like Venezuela.

You forgot a zero. 20m in his walls.

It’s now 200K cars going to the scrap heap after the Spanish floods, the total collective of scrap yards can process just 40k each year. Good business for them for the next 5 years at least.

Not so good for the insurance companies. Wonder how much my premium will go up next year?

Is your car insured for floods? I assume those tricky insurance agencies will somehow find a way within the terms to pay absolutely nothing.

My cousin is in Benamargosa Málaga and got washed out on Wednesday, I haven’t asked her about the car yet because the road in and out was blocked by the river.

So sad. Is the weather phenomenon over?

It was a different storm in Málaga, a week after. It’s sad but the insfrastructure is in a bad state and is the chief cause of the flooding. The south needs the Autumn rains though, the resevoirs were down to 8% in Almería and 13% in Málaga.
