I just checked the story about Ramos Is there any definitive article about whether the acquisition of the club or the player contract has been finalized, or how it is progressing so far? I don’t do X so there’s a lack of information. Every info would be so helpful!!

Ramos has a bid in. Waiting for the board to consider the proposal. Lots of stuff happening behind the scenes.

It’s being reported that Ramos and 511 Capital have agreed to buy the club (& debt) for €450 million.
It’s still subject to approval from Spain’s National Sports Council (possibly the equivalent of the Owners and Directors Test in England).

Hope the reports are true and we finally get this done. It’s much better to do it now than to wait and see how the club fares until the end of the season - it might risk not getting sold at all, which would be devastating.
I have noticed lately that the President and Vice President haven’t been in the locker room before and after the games like they used to be.

Finally, Castro is gone.
This won’t be be a massive shot in the arm or anything since the state of the finance is still an absolute shambles but hopefully the direction is positive and the managerial appointments are much more sensible.
The fact they didn’t wait till the end of the season to strike a deal shows they are determined to make a difference.

The deal still needs some bureaucratic procedures to finish in order to be official. I think they calculated it well so it actually takes places after the season is finished, but I could be wrong and we might have it official next week or something.
Staying up will be massive for the new project to work.

Now with the new management, I wonder how long it would take to take out the debt and build with better players

Also if the debt is removed, does La Liga reexamine the salary constraints? It will be interesting to watch.

Obviously it is at the discretion of the group, but do you think the debt gets paid quick? Or would it still be a while?

I would think it would be settled close to immediately. Which would put the actual sell price of the club at total - debt, which would be in the 300 million range. Less than half what Sporting Kansas City was recently sold for, which amazes me.

That would be huge for the club just in that aspect…and they definitely wanna build the brand of the club so it makes them much more back from it
