Yea this can’t be our frontline to start the season. But i’m sure Navarro & co. already have a plan in place. Just need to free up more spots on the roster.

Hopefully that isn’t a fucking 39-year-old Jamie Vardy.

The mascot of Córdoba CF is Koki, a friendly green alligator (or caimán) who has become an iconic, high-energy fixture at the Estadio El Arcángel. Representing the city’s spirit, Koki is famous for touring local schools and heavily participating in the fun-filled LALIGA de las Mascotas

Koki holds a notorious record in Spanish football: he is the only mascot to be officially fined for invading the pitch. During a crucial match against Las Palmas on June 6, 2009, his excitement boiled over after a goal. He sprinted onto the field to celebrate with the players, resulting in a €600 sanction.

Since then, Koki’s “lore” has only grown. He has been known to appear with a mascot partner named Kokita, and even had a baby blanquiverde (white and green), cementing his status as a beloved, deeply embedded member of the Córdoba CF family.

The Legend of the Alligator - According to popular legend, centuries ago a massive flood of the Guadalquivir River brought a terrifying alligator straight into the city. The creature settled in the local marshlands and began terrorizing the population and devouring livestock.

The townspeople were helpless until a local man with a disability—often described as having a missing leg or a severe limp—stepped up. Armed only with his wooden crutch and a loaf of fresh bread, he waited in a tree. When the alligator opened its massive jaws to eat the bread, the man jammed his crutch vertically into its mouth, trapping the jaws open and allowing him to defeat the beast

Historically, a real, taxidermied historical alligator has hung from the wall of the Santuario de Nuestra Señora de la Fuensanta in Córdoba since at least the 17th century. While historians note it was likely brought back from the Americas by a Spanish traveler as a religious offering, the dramatic legend of the town hero became deeply embedded in the identity of Córdoba’s citizens. When Córdoba CF wanted a symbol that was uniquely tied to the city’s popular heritage, they embraced this famous reptile. They transformed the terrifying monster of the Guadalquivir into Koki, a friendly, high-spirited mascot that reflects local pride and cleverness.

Looking at that Lineup and Squad is just grim right now. :face_vomiting::distorted_face:

Sierra has the best chance of the match so far. Shot at the top of the box, pushed away, but right back to Sierra, who hits it wide.

Lots more attacking, but still missing the quality.

Nico Guillén has been very good imo since coming on. Picking passes from his deep midfield position.
