Well folks, it’s been a good run. If the rumors are true, it looks like this might be our last Lope graph.
It’s a new dawn, a new day and a new life!
Opinion’s on Sampaoli thread incoming
Thanks for everything Julen. His reign led to some great memories, (especially that summer of 2020 when we seemed invincible)
He really deserved a better way to go out, he won us a europa league, three straight champions league qualifications, broke the point record and more. It saddens me to see him go out this way. Best of luck in the future
official
Finally.
What’s worrying is the inability of the board/management to react after things were clearly going downhill since January. Hoping for miracles, sudden turnarounds and what not.
It may be already too late to save the season now but I really hope that this incompetence is never to be repeated again in this club.
!!!
I surely hope they learned from everything that has transpired.
Yup, I talked about the wrong turn movies before, and how we missed so many turns, the scenario’s went passing by. They missed so many, we are in part 7 now probably.
Yeah that’s the one thing every Sevilla fan should love him for. He really delivered in the derbies in his tenure with the club! Fair play to him on that!
We lost in the Copa tho… Still good derby results indeed.
Confirmation if we needed any that Lope has been sacked.
Loving the new avatar mate! Haha
Best new in a long time.
I know someone waiting for Lopeout even before his arrival at Sevilla.
So 18 months and 1000 posts later, it’s come to this, he finally leaves.
Should have gone after season three i.m.o, and at the latest during the international break. Now Sampaoli has a grand total of less than 72 hours to sign his contract, do on-board stuff, figure out who is crap and who is absolute crap in the squad and give an idea of a tactic that would prevent a rout at home vs Bilbao on Saturday. Pathetic planning that fits the main theme of this season really.
But if anyone can do it, it’s Sampaoli. Still remember his first game with us, somehow fits Kiyotake, Vitolo, Mudo, Sarabia and Vietto in a lineup and wins the game 6-4 with Pareja being the only designated centre back in the starting 11. Absolute madness, and I loved it.
Wow, quite the nostalgia there. Kiyotake!
This is a factor of ‘Belief’ over reason, when an entity has faith in a project and dedicate their lives to it they invariably can’t see when it’s going wrong and continue to believe.
Faith and Belief belong in Church, not in business.
Gracias Julen
He was doing pretty well here, had a debut goal and was a threat going forward. I was even asking a Japan based friend of mine if he would open up the Asian market for Sevilla. Then I think he lost his son and was too mentally scarred to play so he went back to Japan where he plays to this day, very sad story.
Lope turned down the wolves job due to personal reasons. His father not well being the main reason according to Spanish sources. Hoping all will be alright in the lopetegui family and wish his father good health.
