Huge win for us today in the race for second and keeps us in with a shout of the title.
The first half was a great attacking performance and in the second half we soaked up quite a lot of :poop: pressure and did a professional job. Defensively I thought we were excellent again and nothing we could have done about that Canales free kick.
Let’s hope we can carry this into the remainder of the season now and finish strongly. Great to do the double over :poop: as well!

We need three wins from these games hopefully which would set us up nicely for another big one away at Barca!
I’m glad we have a clear week of no mid week games. I think the lads deserve that and gives us a chance to hopefully have more available for the Alaves match.
Although just checking the fixtures next week we scheduled for a rare Friday night so not as much rest as I thought haha.
Only a five day break with us playing on a Friday night, but yes hopefully a few more will be available by then.

Two grandissimo teams (2nd and 3rd) with nothing to justify but everything to play for and Sevilla were clearly superior in this case. Depite :poop: being more than a little bit dirty and the referee giving Sevilla the absolute minimum of decisions.

What a crazy, cathartic match. I’m obviously happy with the result, but I’m even happier to see the aggressive style of play that we’ve been asking for all season. Hopefully we can keep the intensity in our game plan going forward.

Going to be 100% honest, that definitely could have been a red. It was one of those that could go either way and were fortunate that Acuña only got off with a yellow.
