Me too. Someone said that not just Sevilla fans but the general public also reject this football style and quite rightly.
And another thing, if we’re going to play this defensive roundabout circulation we sure as hell need an effective, well practised counter attack but we rarely see an effective counter.
I’d accept the style against other clubs in the top 6 but not against lowly clubs, we even played ‘the system’ against Andraxt and Cordoba.
Once again good in defense, but inept in attack. Something really needs to change in that regard. With the players we have in attack we really should be banging them in no problem.
Unfortunate to hear about Montiel. It’s not the end of the world though, Navas close to returning, and Tecatito and Koundé have both played at RB in the past. Also we have some youth that could play there
I’m hoping that it’s just a breakdown in communication across the languages. It could be that he’s just got a strain. If that’s the case, he could conceivably play this week depending on the severity.
If it’s torn, you’re right. 6-8 weeks is most likely, but let’s be honest, at this point in the year, 6-8 weeks is in essence a season ending injury. Any setbacks along the way will push him out through May. If he is able to join again in April, he won’t be in the form that he has been.
The hamstring is a mass of strands, it’s possible to tear a strand or 2 and get thru it in a couple of weeks but if it’s not quite ready you tear more, case in point YEN who had a lateral tear but it went wrong when he played too soon.
The lack of creativity and poor distribution from midfield has been evident again here. A player like Arthur would have been a big help.
Disappointing debut for Martial at Sevilla, was too passive and not brave enough to take on the defenders when he had a chance. Hopefully will improve soon enough.
