Fantastic first half by us! Great football! A shame they scored because we absolutely dominated them. Great atmosphere in the stadium too. We just have to calm it down 2nd half now and control things. Lopetegui is a good at this when we these leading games . Let’s hope we stay professional and see this one through and maybe get another goal too.

How was that not a penalty? The referee is obviously favoring Valencia in every aspect, and them playing dirty (as usual under Bordalas) isn’t helping at all.
However, I’d rather have us go all guns blazing in the first half then consolidate in the second, rather than vice versa when it might already be too late, and usually much more difficult to do anything meaningful in the match.
The only negative is the stupid goal conceded as Valencia had nothing on us the entire first half.
Let’s see if we can keep it up in the second.

Excellent first half display. Our best of the season and entertainment and goals.
Shame we’ve given Valencia a sniff with their goal but all positive on the whole.

Rekik has been quite good, Referee quite bad. Some of our sinners will be subbed purely for the yellow cards, but not all. Danger ahead, it’s not a prediction just a fact of life. Back to the boring game I hope.

What a difference it makes when you actually play a #10 in their right position.
Can we not see Rakitic there anymore? He won’t excel there and it’s turning him into an unnecessary scapegoat.

I agree. I think at this point rakitic is best as a sub. As he older and slower. His experience is best when we trying to see a game through but at this point he doesn’t need to start.
I also agree with montiel starting over navas. Montiel looked sharp and energetic and navas is 35 now. Rakitic and navas should be used more as subs now in my opinion.
