Papu had multiple good intercepcions, playing alert on mistakes.
Generally a bit better than first half, feel like this could be enough to scrape a win here.

You just knew that after Sevilla survived the first half that lope would make them a brick wall in the second! Haha. Clear in 2nd place guys. It’s not pretty but we in a great place.
If there’s a better example of luck than whatever that match just was, please tell me, because that might have been the luckiest win I have ever seen

It was but like I said before lope capitalises on the luck better than any other Sevilla manager. We rode our luck but when he gets it he makes sure we take the win. With other previous Sevilla managers I still felt we would give it away 2nd half and end 1-1 or 2-1 them.
Papu was the best player on the park. What undid Bilbao was their anxiety after Sevilla scored. They could have put the game out of reach in the first half but we were solid in defense after the goal. We played out the final 15 minutes well but didn’t go ‘down’ enough to stretch out time.
I think we’ve rode out the potential catastrophe and as we go forward will recover players, mostly after the Christmas break but Ocampos and Acuña maybe before.
A worry is Augistinson because without Acuña there’s Rekik but he’s also needed to cover for the centre.
