M16: Osasuna v Sevilla [2019-20]

START TIME
Sunday, December 8th, 2019
1500 EST / 2100 CET / 700 AEST

El Sadar isn’t amongst the big 5 stadiums we struggle at, but not many visitors manage to leave with 3 points. Even the Big 3 can often attest to that. Athletic Club only managed to stop their 31-match unbeaten run 2 weeks ago. This fortress might as well be another San Mamés.

After a few injury concerns this week, Fernando & Navas make the trip to Pamplona. However, Nolito is the only casualty, while Escudero & Rony Lopes have been left off completely. Ocampos serves the 2nd of his 3-match ban.

Projected XI: Vaclík; Navas, Kounde, Carlos, Reguilón; Gudelj, Jordán, Banega; Munir, De Jong, Óliver.

Who knows what might happen when you’re up against the golazo machine that is Chimy Ávila. Fortunately, Sevilla boasts one of the league’s best defences, as well as the best away record. It has “tight, scrappy affair” written all over it. Another 1-0 result on the cards?

It’s definitely going to be a tough one, but we should be able to win it.

I hope Fernando is fit for this one! I’m more confident of a good result with him in the side.

Got a good feeling today, 1-3 win!

Im afraid of Ávila as well, feel like he will be shooting with sharp, what other teams have really been lacking to do against us. So we got away with more than we should have.
Obviously hoping we don´t get ourselves into trouble, and show a bit more attacking skill going forward, find those goals and trust the Koundé and Diego Carlos Wall to neutralize Ávila. Vamos mi Sevilla!

Hoping for a win but a draw wouldn’t be bad result. Hopefully our defence keep up the good work. Vamos Sevilla!

That’s a strong line up. I’m happy with that team. There was doubt over the fitness of fernando, navas and Diego Carlos. Good to see them start.

Plus he’s gone with Chicharito and Munir. Good to see them guys get a chance after a while. A different approach to de jong and nolito. Luuk always an option for Julen if he wants a different approach.

Speed is definitely needed for this one and we’ll surely have more speed with Munir and Chicharito - compared to Nolito and De Jong.

Hell yeah, difficult start but awesome breakthrough with Munir behind the defense, curling it perfect in the top left corner. 0-1 up!

Okay take it easy, don´t do some stupid shit now, this ref is gonna pull some more cards, don´t provoke it please.

Got to be careful with our passing in dangerous areas!

Osasuna player Cardona got knocked out cold going for that header… that’s never nice to see. Hope he recovers well.

Almost looks like scottisch football, some blind kicking high in the air, hoping it falls well.

Close call there… Chicharito a hair offside, and scored from a very tight angle too!
