🇪🇸 La Liga - Primera Division - Matchday 37 | Sevilla FC vs Real Madrid CF

The 2 miracle comebacks against espanyol and Villarreal especially saved us. Incredible fightbacks. Sevilla never gives up!

are we safe mathematically?

I hate that ref! Calls full time before the corner is taken.

Yes. Levante are just about to win and Girona lost. It over! lol

Girona and Mallorca lose. Is there any weird three way tie on 43 scenario even still possible? Or are we 100% safe?

We are safe!!!

Mallorca only got 39. Girona got 43 but play Elche. We can’t be caught now! Phew!

Performance wise I thought we played okay today and probably deserved a draw.

Just lacked quality in the final third which ultimately was the difference between the two sides with a well taken goal from Vini even if you can argue whether it should have stood or not.

What an incredible escape, these last few weeks have been fantastic by the team.. So pleased for everyone involved.. Its an important summer now..

Thats great news. I thought we did well in the second half, while im relieved to see him go i feel Gudelj got a deserved send off. MOTM was easily Courtois. I hope for improvements in the coming season. But honestly I really thought we were relegated after selling Lukebakio, and while I was swayed after beating Barcelona, I was certain after losing to Osasuna. I feel very lucky.

We would have had a draw had the ref not been a Real fan. The most insufferable

Definitely bias towards Real. Joke at the end him not letting us have the corner.

Was hoping we could wrap the safety from relegation with a result….But honestly would have been a disingenuous way to end the season.

This has been a crap season which ends crappily but at least we’re safe

Congratulations, folks! Valencia safe too (and with an outside shot at Europe.) Hating each other’s club is far more fun when we’re both in La Liga :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Seriously, I did fear for you, but the future looks brighter and I’ll be even more jealous if the takeover goes through. Let’s remember that Sevilla were 63% to go down in Opta just a few weeks ago and now the future looks much brighter.

It’s remarkable that we’ve stayed up being honest. After the Osasuna defeat I thought we were down and out so a brilliant effort from the manager and team to complete a great escape!

Let’s hope with our La Liga status secured and hopefully good news off the field with Ramos, we can look forward to better times ahead now.

Courtouis was definitely the motm, not sure how they gave it to Crynicius?
