La Liga - Matchday 21 - Sevilla FC vs Athletic Club

Alfon is back training. Unlikely to make this week’s squad though. Nianzou again is injured as is Marcao (foot). Not sure if he will be available when his suspension is finished.

Interesting and something I hadn’t realized. Gattoni is back with the club after his loan spell ended in Argentina. Manager says he is up for selection even though he hasn’t played a game since March of last year.

Mendy is out of this match due to yellow card accumulation. So the midfield will have a different look. Who fills in? Jordan, Manu Bueno, Peque, Gudelj?

I wouldn’t mind running out -
Ody
Jaunlu - Carmona - Gudelj - Salas - Oso
Agoume - Sow
Peque
Issac - Akor

Marcao has fractured a bone in his foot. Out for another 6-8 weeks

Definitely weird seeing Gattoni in there. Of the long list of mysteries in Sevilla FC’s history he is one of them. Captain at a young age in a respectable South American club and he just absolutely falls through when coming to Europe. I know there’s a difference and it can be a wild transition for some, but he just seemed so out of place when playing for us. But since I am still holding out hope for some kind of revelation-player in this season, let’s just add him to the list since Marcao and Nianzou are not exactly reliable…

Decent shout regarding the line-up by the way. Maybe Suazo gets a pick, but I’m not really sure who he would replace.

Alex Costa gets another call-up, maybe he will get his first minutes.

This is a huge loss, cause he mostly keeps things steady around him. I’d elect Bueno every day of the week. Unless we go with wingers, i wouldn’t mind seeing Suazo & Ozo doubling up on the left.

I really hope to see Akor and Isaac up front today. Our strikers have struggled massively - because of lack of quality and service behind Them, so I Think Both would would benefit from playing with eachother. Isaac has gotten a lot of stick, but I still believe in him. He hasnt become a bad player over night. I see him much more as a wide striker or in a 2 man striker attack.

Less pressure on him also with Akor there.

Would like to see something like this today

Vlacho

Juanlu - Carmona - Gudelj - Kike Salas - Suazo

Agoume - Sow

Peque

Akor - Isaac

Valencia putting some pressure on us. 1 point will golden…

We in a big scrap. Need a result today or we have to rely on that green team to help us out against Alaves!

Almeyda finally answered my call. :joy::+1:t2:

Love that lineup!

Adams breaks away in the 6’ 1v1 with Simon, but hits it right to him…offside anyway, but positive.

Good luck to everyone in the Midwest, South, East, North, pretty much everywhere with this winter storm coming in. Hope you have your TP and adult beverages stocked up.

Carmona with a bursting run, but hits it too long and Simon saves it, then horrible decision in the back by Ody and almost causes a blunder of a goal.

Peque with a curling shot from a good spot, but can’t get it to curl into the corner. Good attacking so far. Defense looks a little disorganized.

Gol Gol Gol Gol - 22’ Setpiece goal. Gudelj with a class touch that chips Simon. Sevilla take the lead! VAMOS

VAR review possible foul

It’s going to VAR - as Gudelj hit the player not the ball. No Gol

The attacking looks so much better tonight. Another opportunity, Sow with the cross and Issac heads it too close to Simon.
