We are still in mid-table and only one point off 7th.

Had the chances to get a draw tonight against a decent Espanyol side.

We didnā€™t play too badly I thought.

Itā€™s the fact they didnā€™t look decent at all today. When we donā€™t capitalize when teams play that poorly, itā€™s worrying. Iā€™m sure weā€™ll improve, but thatā€™s too many points dropped when we deserved a better result.

Not to say weā€™re better than most teams, but when the opposition is visibly playing like shit, we need to learn to take those opportunities.

They werenā€™t at their best today, especially in the first half when we had the chances to put them to bed and we paid the price for that. Second half I felt they were much better though. The table doesnā€™t lie though. Theyā€™re in the top six for a reason and have a good home record.

During the broadcast Graham Hunter said Sevilla donā€™t win when they go a goal behind and thatā€™s how it went. I guess you can say that Espanyol are a decent side, but it still feels disappointing not to be returning to Seville with a point at least.

I donā€™t know why FIFA hates us so much to keep scheduling international breaks after we win games :sob:

I donā€™t think we did too bad overall, but where were the defence for the 1st goal? Juanlu fell asleep giving their player all the time in the world to pick his spot for the header (I could have scored that & I havenā€™t played for over 40yrs).

The 2nd was yet another regalo

We just keep gifting goals, defensive reinforcements are very much needed in Jan.
