Fucking AI is getting so much better. Here is Gemini’s preview:

Match Preview: Espanyol vs. Sevilla FC

Date: Monday, November 24, 2025

Kick-off: 3:00 PM EST / 9:00 PM CET

Venue: RCDE Stadium, CornellĂ  de Llobregat

Competition: La Liga EA Sports (Matchday 13)

Match Overview

La Liga action continues on Monday night as RCD Espanyol hosts Sevilla FC at the RCDE Stadium. Both sides are looking to solidify their positions in the mid-table battle, with European spots still within reach for the winner.

Espanyol enters the match sitting in 6th place (18 points), having enjoyed a surprising start to the 2025/26 campaign under Manolo GonzĂĄlez. However, the Pericos have stumbled recently, losing back-to-back games, including a tough defeat to Villarreal.

Sevilla FC, currently in 9th place (16 points), arrives with renewed confidence after snapping a three-match losing streak with a gritty 1-0 victory over Osasuna. A win for the visitors would see them leapfrog Espanyol in the standings, making this a crucial “six-pointer” for positioning.

Team News & Injuries

The hosts will be missing their talisman and captain, Javi Puado, who remains sidelined with a knee injury until early December. This is a significant blow to their attack, placing more responsibility on top scorer Pere Milla.

  • Out: Javi Puado (Knee).
  • Doubtful: Charles Pickel (Muscle discomfort), Kike GarcĂa (Muscle - late fitness test).
  • Returns: Carlos Romero and RamĂłn Terrats are expected to return to the squad after missing the last outing due to loan clause restrictions and minor knocks, respectively.

  • Suspended: JosĂ© Ángel Carmona.
  • Out: Tanguy Nianzou (Thigh - out until 2026), CĂ©sar Azpilicueta (Groin/Muscle - unlikely to risk).
  • Doubtful: Isaac Romero (Groin), MarcĂŁo (Ankle), Alexis SĂĄnchez (Thigh), Lucien AgoumĂ© (Shoulder), FĂĄbio Cardoso (Physical discomfort - late fitness test).
  • Note: Akor Adams, who led the line against Osasuna, is expected to retain his spot up front despite ongoing squad rotation.

Key Match Stats

  • Home Fortress vs. Away Woes: Espanyol has won 4 of their last 7 home matches, while Sevilla has struggled for consistency on the road.
  • Head-to-Head: The last meeting between these sides ended in a 1-1 draw (Jan 2025). Espanyol has not beaten Sevilla in La Liga since 2017, a streak they are desperate to break.
  • Discipline Watch: Sevilla has conceded 9 yellow cards in their last five matches, indicating a potentially aggressive approach that could lead to set-piece opportunities for Espanyol.

Prediction

This match is likely to be a tight, tactical affair. Espanyol’s home advantage is balanced by the absence of Puado, while Sevilla’s defensive absences make them vulnerable. Expect a physical battle in midfield.

Score Prediction: Espanyol 1 - 1 Sevilla

Chavales, I’m excited to share that I’ll be watching tonight’s match from a Peña in NerviĂłn. I’m visiting some friends in the city. Unfortunately my visit didn’t line up with a home match, but it will be wonderful to watch tonight’s away tilt surrounded by supporters in red and white. This city as beautiful as I remembered.

Seriously, he looks like he is pushing 60!

Poor first ten minutes. Can’t keep hold of the ball. Hopefully Espanyol will calm down soon

And still better than any of our center forwards. :frowning:

That is disappointing! Maybe we do need to get back into buying players on AARP

Peque with a nice SOG - 13’ but easy for Dmitrović.

Better now. Need better quality in the crosses.
