Time to see what Cardoso is made of.
A goos lineup otherwise, probably the strongest we have right now. Can’t really decide between Alfon and Alexis for now, and CB is always tricky, no one fully deserves that place so as to say they’re an undisputed starter.

Whomever was complaining of Marcao going to ground too easily, look at the highlight around 25’. He has the chance to cost us a penalty and wisely stays on his feet

Stopped a good Rayo chance double time in the first few mins, looks ok so far positioning-wise
Vlacho gives a stronger sense of security in the goal than Nyland.
Hopefully I don’t jinx him and he goes on to have embarrassing performances

Attack non existent. Midfield collapsed sometimes but defense and gk solid
Cardoso has now had a couple good defensive headers, so I can’t say he’s still incognito. But haven’t made a firm impression of him yet

A very closely contested match. I like that we competitive in every match.
It been a struggle to create chances but they are a decent team. We mainly cancelled each other out. I’d take a point here as they not easy to face.
Hopefully we remain solid at the back in 2nd half and try to create more up front.
