La Liga 25/26 - Matchday 5 - Sevilla FC at Alavés

Mendy looks like a beast. First time I have seen him play.

I like the way we are quicker on the break we are looking far more dangerous on attack than the last couple of seasons

We are sharing the hotel bar with around 100 Spaniards celebrating a birthday party, I think my ears areabout to bleed.

Couldn’t catch the first half, was Alfon sub because of injury or tactical decision?

Great play by Carmona and Vargas. Carmona through on goal, but shot gets blocked.

Vargas and Nianzou coming off. Akor and Gudelj coming on. Come on, Gudelj. Calm things down and get a grip on your partner

Not like that…

Mendy gives us quite an advantage in the midfield. The opponent team now has to sweat a lot in order to be effective in the mid. Before Mendy it was a piece of cake for them.

He’s 40% Krycho, 40% M’bia and 20% N’Zonzi

Alexis might not have the physicality but has the brains still.

Team is fighting and that’s always good

Mendy has been fantastic. Impressed with Sánchez too. Azpil did solid too. Cordon might have did better business than I thought considering he has no money to work with. Fair play.

The only negative in this team is that we are quite thin.

Remove a crucial player or two and we’re done

He could’ve done a ton lot better as he had the means to do so, but decided to contributes in the books/finances rather than on the squad depth

Almeyda methods starting to shine through this team. The football has been impressive and promising steps we building something slowly. I’d really love to be wrong for and us to do well this season. Let’s hopefully hang on here as would be huge!

Is it just me or is our Greek goalkeeper a little too hesitant in coming out and taking control of the ball?
