Not sure unless he had a knock. He’s missed the last match because of the red? Maybe a punishment?
I’m gonna win La Liga with this crop come next week.
Stay classy Alaves, all the monkey chants at Badé
This game feel like a text book example why you shouldn’t insist on playing possession football when you don’t have your best attackers starting (for whatever unknown reason)
DODIIIIII
He’s a beast! What a smart run.
Winning post
Lukebakio are best player by miles. Great finish
Barco is my fave so far this season (obviously other than the man, Lukebakio).
Good spell of possession there, but looks like we are going to come up short.
We got what we deserved in that game and that was nothing. We only started playing and putting a bit of pressure on Alaves after Lukebakio’s moment of brilliance (by far our best player).
Dreadful from us. Another season of struggle looms I’m afraid.
Vicente what a buy for Alaves in January of last year. 600K and has two goals already this year equalling what he bagged last year.
Lukebakio was fantastic. Only good player on there. The rest are a waste of a shirt. Awful performance overall. Another relegation battle ahead folks
Im Happy at all, to see Not the whole Game…
Peque as a Winger?
Bade played…why Not from from the fuckin beginning ???( he ist Overrated for me, but better than Salas, Nianzou)
Dodi Haters, where are you?!?
My Opinion, we have only 4 Players to create something for the Striker…Dodi, Peque(!) Not as a Winger, AND he needs Time(!), Suso, Saul.
But i think, GP dont Unterstand me…
Bye the way, i still search Here one Player to Play against me with my Personal Sevilla Squad(?), would be nice:)
Only a few Games a Month.
I’m at work so i only got to watch this in parts. Echoing the same feelings about our midfield, and it seriously lacks creativity. And it seems Peque was a failed experiment on the wing?
I’ll watch the replay a bit later. At least there was a bit of fight in the end, but this team has a lot of work to do.
Just finished my rewatch, and I could understand Pimienta’s starting lineup, considering we were away from home. But I will always disagree with Salas getting a start, especially when Pedrosa is also terrible at defending, leaving that left side very weak. Bade just came back from injury, so I’m not sure if he would’ve lasted the whole game. Peque on the wing isn’t that bad an option, as he’s a nice complement to Lukebakio on the other side. Our problem is that we would still require someone like Peque in the middle to find these attackers.
Hence, our buildup was slow, and never got going. The 3 centre mids don’t have too much distinguishing them, so there’s never a proper flow. This is why I argue to simply have Saul & Sow as a tandem, cause adding Agoume just makes him redundant.
All we had were the transitions, where Lukebakio excelled. Unfortunately, he was the only player who looked good. He’s by far our most dangerous player. Pimienta needs to get the balance right in order for the players to keep finding him in those favoured positions. There’s been a lot of rotation, and I think it’s time the coach stuck with a consistent lineup.
The injury to Isaac doesn’t help, nor does it look good. Iheanacho will have to step up, and i believe in his hold-up play. I’m just not sure if i can replicate that same faith with the coach.
My view is that the trainer literally threw the game. To me it’s totally stupid decision to save Badé for the second half, and Ejuke too.
If Badé was fit for the second half was fit to start the game, we might well not have been 2-0 down with Badé there.
The fact is that we won a EUFA league final with Badé and Gudelj as central defenders, so it can’t be that fatal as a combination.
I saw the starting eleven before kick-off, and conceded the game, it was obvious.
Don’t forget Fernando & Bono were also part of that defence. They had proper protection.
Good observation
That left side just looked terrible all game long, even when Barco came on…
