Why is Saúl so bad…
This post aged well.
Put it on net. Sigh…
Suso and Lukebakio with golden chances that shouldn’t have been missed.
But we played poorly in overall since the Peque goal.
Bye bye Europe!
I’m delighted with the point. Let’s forget about Europe guys.
It about survival and it was a close game. We could have won it and they could have. We maintain the 6 point gap on alaves.
We not quite safe still but it a point closer and we prevented alaves getting closer.
Vamos!
I’m merely satisfied, onward we go. We didn’t play well, we seem incapable of stringing a few passes together but we’ll see what happens next with the new boss.
I think we need to understand we are not good team who are run by a very incompetent board.
We haven’t got many quality players and alaves had more chances and possession for parts of the match.
I know it probably still hard for us to accept but we are no different to teams like Alaves currently. We at that poor level and our name or past doesn’t change that.
I thought we fought hard though and deserved something and we could have won it with some good chances. A draw was fair and it keeps us afloat. Still a bit of work to do to get safe but we took another small step here.
I don’t see that, Dodi was excusable (difficult to control) while Suso just got his boot under the ball and it could only go upwards.
Seriously I don’t think Europe was ever really on the cards. We are nowhere near good enough.
We have still not staved off the threat of relegation and are only 6 points from the drop now. Securing our survival is the main goal this season.
A very poor performance today which I thought was a regression from the Pimienta era. For a home team to allow so much possession to a side in the bottom three was not good. Created very little until towards the end. At least we were relatively solid apart from switching off for their goal.
A draw is disappointing but at least we didn’t lose I guess and I don’t think we deserved more. I’d say they had the better of the game overall. Another tough trip to Osasuna now where I probably would take a point.
Yes, that’s pretty darned obvious, only Suso can direct play with the ball for two or three seconds and also Lukébakio, for everyone else the ball is a hot potato and needs to be discarded immediately. Sevilla need someone who loves the ball because the rest hate it.
Really? Dodi had no one within six feet of him. Only had to place it anywhere but on the ground straight at the keeper.
Dodi received a fast ball and hit it first touch, the goalkeeper was close and restricted the angles available. Suso had control of the ball and set himself up for a shot and failed as usual but on this occasion exceeding the bounds of comedy.
Both shots were poor but to call the Dodi shot unforgiveable while giving Suso an exemption, stretches it a bit.
For me the best was the desire to score the goal i havent felt that desire for a long time. We had horrible second half performances lately, example, against :poop: in their home we were losing and we spent 45’ where we didnt create a single chance, same thing in Valencia apart from Lokonga’s shot at 55’. I know you can say it was against a worse team but the mentality matters a lot thats why I think Caparrós should be our coach next season as well
I don’t remember the Suso one very well but thought he had a player on his hip. Maybe not.
The goalkeeper literally did nothing to cut off any angle for Dodi. He was going laterally across his line still like 10 feet away.
I like Dodi. He’s one of if not our best player. He’s responsible for a huge number of the points we do have this year. But he blew that one.
