La Liga 24/25 Matchday 32 - Sevilla FC vs Deportivo Alavés

Joaquín Caparrós takes over the coaching job for the fourth time, in order to yet again right the ship of a Sevilla team led astray. It is truly a blessing to the club that we have figures like him that are ready to serve the cause. In a season where we bid farewell to the legendary Jesús Navas, our beloved Sevilla FC needs all the help it can get.

We sit at 6 points above our opponents Alavés, who are in the last relegation spot, in hopes of creating more distance to a future in the Segunda. There are 7 matches remaining to this season, which still grant the possibility to even land us in a European spot. Are we about to let Joan Jordán and his crew create more misery at the Pizjuán?

Assuming Caparrós lines up with his typical 4-4-2 formation, it will be interesting to see if this can get more out of Isaac Romero. He was part of the reason our season was saved last year, and we need him ready to answer the call again, after having somewhat of a sophomore slump this time around. Will our new coach deploy the same personnel, or will he include a few surprises of his own? If there’s anything guaranteed, there will be a lot of passion at the Sánchez Pizjuán, and a genuine chance to win at home for the first time this calendar year.

¡¡VAMOS MI SEVILLA!!

I don’t think the fans should protest today with a new manager coming in, don’t interfere during the game, it isn’t much to ask. And strong support could be the difference and produce the victory.

Ejuke starting was the only guarantee today and Saul not starting was a fairly strong bet too. J.C. has been watching all season, attending the home games and thinking the same as most of us.

Huge protests today. Even more than last time against atleti. If anything it has infuriated the fans more sacking pimienta to use caparros as a shield. It hasn’t worked what the board of directors hoped for.

This is going to be a tense game. Vamos mi Sevilla!

I think it is too much to ask. The board has crossed the rubicorn with most of the fans.

I agree though they should try contain in during the match but it feels the hatred they have for the board is even exceeding supporting the current team and manager right now.

Let’s hope our danger players in Lukebakio and Ejuke step up today. We need that bit of quality and pace to try break this low block team down.

Vamos!

Lineup is giving me some anxiety…Peque?

Hoping JC is coming off the bench today for Sevilla:

I don’t get the same vibe like the other times caparros came in to help and transform us. Let’s see what he do but he has his work cut out.

Once again all our eggs are mainly in Lukebakio saving the day for us. Let’s hope for the best.

Gonna miss today…

Every time I see the composition, I ask the same question: what happened to my Sevilla?

First signs of improvement. Direct, no bs play.

1-0. We should be able to win this.

It’s likely just the new manager bounce, so let’s see.

Gudelj with a stupid yellow but good that he’s not playing the next match.

Three passes connected from Nyland to Peque, 1-0.

First Peque goal no?

Seems to play more direct and more “normal”
Not sure if it’s just Alaves too crap or 1 match honeymood illusion.

It’s never the same, but if there’s a tough situation he can help, if all’s going smooth I’ve never seen him stuff up with a bad decision. (Hope I haven’t jinxed him again).
