That was a totally lucky shotā€¦ thanks Valencia goalie for the draw!

As for usā€¦ Pathetic!

To the fans again: shouting and whistling is not enough and will NEVER do anything to change things.

Eh, it was just a terrible save, I thought it looked cooler from the original angle.

This is such a difficult team to watch. One point is one point, but damn, how the mighty have fallen.

It is a huge point for us considering. Great strike from Pedrosa.

We deserved it though as our subs helps. Vargas had a great debut and looked good. Lukebakio and Isaac were good.

The rest though struggled and lots of huff and puff. It going to be a struggle but it a big point to stop us not getting dragged into trouble at bottom. A very nervy game. I will take it

Sevilla need more responsibility in the team, thereā€™s too many easy passes and passing the buck, while nobody seeks the effective pass. Itā€™s a team of learner drivers. Much of that is lack of confidence and lack of managerial ability. Itā€™s a ship adrift and weā€™ll just have to wait and see where it finishes.

This was all on Pimienta. Starting that conservative lineup at home against a bottom team. Unforgivable

A match where we were very lucky to end with even one point. Vargas looks like a great player and someone who should have really been included from the summer. Seems on the other hand for Valenciaā€™s goal that Nyland was totally off his line and the entire team was caught heavily on a counter attack. Between the last 2 matches I would heavily reccommend Alvaro Fernandez being brought back into the starting 11 for the next matches and the signing of a new CB and ST. Isaac has been slightly better as of recent however hasnt been anywhere near enough to replace the YEN sized hole in the team (Iheanacho, even worse). As for Valencia it seems more and more likely they will be relegated due to Limā€™s asset stripping, with I believe one win this season. Hopefully the tide turns in upcoming matches but while GP got things wrong today undoubtedly I would say that he is not the problem given the number of managers (5) we have had since Julen Lopeteguiā€™s dismissal in October 2022. The problem clearly is upstairs.

Hi guys

first time here and Iā€™m not a big Sevilla fanā€¦ I love Barca and I usually watch matches of Sevilla, Rayo, Las Palmas and Athletic Club

Iā€™ve seen GP at Las Palmas and Iā€™ve seen him here at Sevilla. The difference is expectations I guess. Secondly Iā€™ve heard a lot of folks speak negatively about the management, it would be great if somebody could give me a little context of whatā€™s going South and if that is the reason why Monchi left for Villa?

Please feel free to mention any other story which you think would be relevant to the topic. Also, as it was seen today there were anti director chants I guess?? and I saw few folks pointing and negatively chanting (and whistling) towards the VIP boxes(where the management sits). What was that and why was it?

Apologies if the question was too long

Thanks

A draw at home to bottom of the league isnā€™t really enough but we will take the point considering the lateness of the goal. A seven point gap on the relegation places is still too close for comfort though.

The club certainly has problems and I think a lot of them stem from off field issues that somehow need resolving. The fact that thereā€™s been so many managers since Lope left tells you a lot. Sacking GP and bringing in someone new isnā€™t going to change that.

People can criticise Lope all they like and it did end badly for him but the fact remains he is one of the clubā€™s most successful managers and since heā€™s left weā€™ve largely done nothing but struggle. Make of that what you will.

Isnā€™t Lope struggling since leaving Sevilla? he was recently sacked by West Ham and I guess Emery had more success than him at Sevilla

This is your near-weekly ā€œglass half fullā€ :milk_glass: reminder:

Seven points from relegation but seven points from Europe! Would have been much happier if we had ended 5 from Europe and 9 from relegation, but :poop: happens.

We didnā€™t play great football, but we were still the better team for most of the 90 minutes. They had a single legitimate shot on goal.

Imagine our left side in coming weeks: Vargas and Ejuke playing together, maybe even somehow with Idumbo somewhere squeezed in. Those three are going to be dynamite. Can we swap Iheanacho for Sadiq or something reasonably bad instead of just totally absent? Isaac is just not creating enough danger

I agree that thereā€™s reason for positivity.

We did have the better of the game last night and created more chances. We easily could have scored a few on another night.

Vargas certainly looks a positive and he was very unlucky with his effort that crashed against the post.

Hoping we can sign a centre back and forward as I think we need more than Isaac and Iheanacho just hasnā€™t worked out.

Looking at Valenciaā€™s goal last night, you could clearly see what the defensive, and overall team roster problem is.

You have Gudelj, a Tercera quality player as an undisputed starting CB and the captain of the team.

Canā€™t get worse than thisā€¦ ever.

I agree, there are many Positives but I also feel on the other hand under this current regime of management we are just lacking in so many areas. We are an easy team to play against, we donā€™t create many chances, we donā€™t have a pressing defensive games. There hasnt been many convincing performances this year and even against Valencia last night, who were very poor by the way, we were lucky to scrape a draw. We need so much more from in every department of the club for us to become a serious threat againā€¦
