I always wonder why can’t we play defensively like Getafe or something and only lose 0-1 rather than 4 to 5 goals humiliation when we’re away against strong team.
I remember some coach (Emery?) tried to play like 8-0-2 formation but still conceded 4 goals.
Maybe that’s Sevilla DNA or something.

Sevilla should base their game in defense on these occasions but I think we only have one style at the moment. Nice goal by Isaac though, Courtois didn’t move.

This scoreline isn’t really surprising when you factor in the squad we’re playing with. We constantly leave these gaps against other teams. RM simply has the players to finish the chances. It’s good that we got on the scoresheet, but they really seemed unbothered giving up that goal.

Defensively we have to be a lot better against the top teams away from home. Real Madrid just had far too much space and they could have scored a few more goals and be totally out of sight. Against most teams you can get away more with leaving the space we did but not against Real.
We’re lucky that with Isaac’s goal we have a glimmer of a chance. The best form of defence for us is attack in the second half and you never know. We showed against Atleti that we’re capable so hoping for the best and we at least keep it respectable.
