If we play like this (especially first half) and become more compact in defense, I think we can compete for top 7 - and with a couple of reinforcements we could stabilize and aim for more in the second half of the season.
Consistency will be key… I’m still quite skeptical about that so let’s see.

Huge win! One thing we really benefitting from is no Europe! The squad is much fresher and we keeping more players fit.
We played very well tonight and then Dodi had that incredible quality to make the difference. A professional away performance and up into the top half of the table! We not been there for a while.

Jokes aside. He entered the top 10 of most LaLiga games played with 510, equal to Casillias. That’s wild to me as it’s goalkeeper vs field player who played 4 years elsewhere.

Nice 3 points, a good 1st away win. Tbf, Espanyol was just poor. Especially on those goals, they gave Dodi too much time on that 1st, and didn’t double team him for the 2nd. Those defenders are idiots.
Lokonga & Gudelj looked a good match, finding time & space to take back control of the game.
I don’t think Nyland was too badly hurt, and only took precautions. Either way, nice to see Alvaro out there.
Copa game up next? Hopefully one of our strikers can get on the scoresheet. We can’t always rely on one guy.

Yeah our left side worked nice tonight. Barco couldn’t adapt very well in the match but still played decently for the minutes he had.
