I noticed a tweet today about Aubameyang taking the lead in all time Europa league goals and noticed that Kevin Gameiro is sixth on the list with 22 (Dabbur has 24).
Taking a thought from the US way of Hall of Fame, which jersey/kit would Kevin choose to be honored in?
Obviously ours. He won at most 1 title with his other clubs, at Sevilla 3 EUL in which he made one deciding pentalty, scored the important equalizer against Liverpool and played as a sub in the final versus Dnipro.
Gameiro just announced his retirement today. He’d been a free agent since the end of last season.

I had the opportunity to follow him from FC Lorient, an extremely underrated player and legend.
Great player for us. One of the best I’ve seen in a Sevilla shirt.

A decade ago, I was at St. Pablo airport in Sevilla, sat outside waiting for a flight to Vienna via Barcelona and he pitched up in an oversize taxi with beautiful wife, toddlers and at least five suitcases and I said ‘oh no, not Barcelona’ and he gave a smile. And just a week ago I read that he turned down Barcelona because he wanted to go to Atlético Madrid.
Tremendous player, I hope he had the career that he wanted, best wishes to him and the family.

Had the pleasure of meeting Kevin Gamiero with his family at the souvenir shop back in 2015 or 2016, great guy, probably my favourite striker we had, very clinical and won plenty of titles with us in Europe..
Pathetic showing. Scoreline should have been a lot worse.
